Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Hellohera is on a mission to revolutionize how families care for their aging parents, a universal challenge that often leaves individuals feeling lost and overwhelmed. We are building a dedicated network of "Heroes" – expert caregivers equipped with the knowledge, tools, and time to support families through this critical life stage, allowing them to focus on being present with their loved ones. Our growth is currently limited by our ability to scale our team of Heroes, making talent acquisition our most critical function. This is an exceptional opportunity to step into a pivotal role, directly impacting our mission's success by owning and optimizing our hiring process.
  • • In this impactful Talent Acquisition Intern role, you will be instrumental in building the supply chain of Heroes that fuels our expansion. You will work closely with the CEO, who is currently personally involved in candidate screening due to the strategic importance of this hire. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and enhance our candidate pipeline, ensuring we attract and onboard top talent efficiently. This position offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, mission-driven startup environment, with a clear pathway for growth and potential conversion to a full-time role.
  • • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include the critical initial stages of candidate evaluation. You will meticulously screen video interview responses submitted through Willo, providing a crucial first impression of potential candidates. You will also be responsible for managing the candidate pipeline within Ashby, our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring all candidate data is accurate and up-to-date, and that the recruitment process flows smoothly. Furthermore, you will review take-home exercises, utilizing our Claude project to assess candidates' problem-solving skills and suitability for the Hero role. A key part of your role will involve conducting reference calls for final candidates, gathering essential insights to inform hiring decisions and ensure we are bringing on the best possible individuals to support families.
  • • As you grow in this role, you will have the opportunity to expand your responsibilities and contribute more strategically to our talent acquisition efforts. This includes creatively sourcing candidates, especially as we implement automation for earlier screening stages, allowing you to focus on more nuanced and high-impact recruitment activities. You will also build vital recruiting partnerships with relevant institutions, such as MSW (Master of Social Work) programs and nursing networks, leveraging the "Hero Academy" framework we have developed. This collaborative approach will help us tap into a wider pool of qualified professionals. Additionally, you will play a role in shaping our hiring process as we scale nationally, contributing to the development of efficient and effective recruitment strategies that will enable us to serve every family in America that needs our support.
  • • We are seeking individuals with high agency and a strong "slope" – meaning we value potential, a hunger to learn, and a bias for action over extensive prior experience. A builder mentality is essential; your goal should be to identify inefficiencies and create systems that make parts of your job obsolete, thereby improving scalability. We want someone who looks at a backlog of 2,000 candidates and immediately envisions systematic solutions rather than just tackling the immediate workload. You should possess the drive to "run through walls" – understanding that your true charter is not just recruiting, but enabling the scaling of dedicated experts to meet the needs of families nationwide. This requires an unwavering sense of purpose, recognizing the profound impact you will have by hiring individuals who will become the lifeline for families during one of the most challenging chapters of their lives. You must feel the weight of this responsibility and be energized by the opportunity to make a significant difference.
  • • This role is designed for someone who is proactive, resourceful, and eager to contribute to a meaningful mission. You will be at the forefront of building our team, directly influencing the quality of care we provide. The flexibility of this part-time role allows for growth, with the potential to transition into a full-time position based on your performance and the company's scaling needs. If you are passionate about making a tangible difference in people's lives and thrive in a dynamic startup environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

🎯 Requirements

  • • High agency, strong "slope" (potential, hunger, bias-for-action), and a builder mentality.
  • • Ability to systematize and automate processes, with a focus on efficiency and scalability.
  • • Strong sense of purpose and understanding of the critical nature of hiring for a mission-driven organization.
  • • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for candidate screening and reference checks.
  • • Proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving and task management.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive hourly pay of $25/hour (1099 contract).
  • • Flexible part-time hours (20-25 hours per week) within EST business hours.
  • • Remote work opportunity, with potential for full-time in NYC upon conversion.
  • • Significant growth potential and opportunity to shape hiring processes as the company scales nationally.
  • • Direct impact on a meaningful mission to support families caring for aging parents.
