  • • As the sole member of our burgeoning recruiting function at Magical, you will be instrumental in architecting and executing the talent acquisition strategy that fuels our next phase of significant growth. This pivotal role offers the unique opportunity to build our talent engine from the ground up, owning the entire recruitment lifecycle with a primary focus on critical Engineering and Product teams.
  • • You will be the architect of our hiring process, taking full ownership from the initial intake meetings with hiring managers to the final offer negotiation and close. This end-to-end responsibility encompasses sourcing, screening, managing interview loops, facilitating debriefs, conducting reference checks, and ultimately, securing top-tier talent.
  • • A core aspect of this role involves a deep partnership with hiring managers and leadership. You will guide them through high-signal intake sessions, meticulously align on role scope, define appropriate leveling, develop robust scorecards, and establish effective interview plans. Your expertise will be crucial in coaching managers on interview quality, calibration, and ensuring a consistent, high-standard evaluation process.
  • • Building and nurturing strong talent pipelines, particularly through proactive outbound sourcing, will be a key deliverable. This includes developing sophisticated market mapping strategies, identifying passive candidates, activating referral networks, and crafting compelling, personalized outreach sequences designed to convert even the most sought-after professionals.
  • • You will be the guardian of our recruiting operations, ensuring pipelines move with exceptional speed and precision. This involves maintaining impeccable candidate communication, providing timely follow-through, and upholding rigorous ATS hygiene and clean, actionable reporting. Your operational excellence will directly impact our ability to hire efficiently and effectively.
  • • Data will be your compass. You will meticulously track key funnel metrics, including conversion rates at each stage, time-to-fill, source quality, and interview pass-through rates. By identifying bottlenecks and analyzing trends, you will continuously iterate and optimize our hiring processes for maximum impact and efficiency.
  • • Delivering a truly standout candidate experience is paramount. You will provide high-touch, responsive communication, ensuring candidates have absolute clarity on the process, expectations, and timelines. This empathetic and transparent approach is vital to attracting and retaining the best talent.
  • • You will be the primary driver in closing top talent. This involves collaborating closely with hiring managers on offer strategy and compensation alignment, proactively anticipating candidate objections, skillfully navigating counteroffers, and ultimately, securing the acceptance of our most desired candidates.
  • • Beyond individual hires, you will play a significant role in strengthening Magical's overall recruiting brand. You will be a compelling ambassador, representing our mission and culture in all candidate interactions, from initial outreach to final follow-ups. Your insights will help evolve our messaging to authentically reflect the innovative spirit and values of Magical.
  • • This role demands a high-agency and fast-moving individual who can create momentum, unblock decisions, and follow through with relentless execution. You are a natural problem-solver who thrives in dynamic environments.
