Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the entire employee lifecycle for a rapidly scaling, fully-remote fintech company that is redefining how finance teams turn revenue into cash. From the moment a new hire signs their offer letter to the day they transition out, you will design, execute, and continuously improve every touchpoint so that each Tesorian feels welcomed, supported, and set up for success.
- • Serve as the single source of truth for U.S. multi-state HR compliance. You will register the company in new states, open and close unemployment-insurance and withholding accounts, monitor ever-changing leave statutes (FAMLI, PFML, etc.), and ensure every I-9, background check, and policy notice is bulletproof. When tax agencies, courts, or notaries send mail to our virtual mailbox, you are the first line of defense—translating legalese into clear next steps and partnering with Finance and outside counsel to keep penalties at zero.
- • Run benefits like a seasoned broker and a caring concierge rolled into one. You will quarterback open-enrollment webinars, field one-off questions about deductible resets, audit monthly invoices from carriers, and negotiate renewals that balance cost control with world-class coverage. Whether an employee in Mexico City needs to add a newborn or a teammate in São Paulo wants to understand COBRA, you will deliver answers that are accurate, empathetic, and fast.
- • Master our HR tech stack—Gusto, Deel, Lever, Notion, Slack, Google Workspace, and a growing list of point solutions—so that every workflow is automated, auditable, and delightful. You will provision and deprovision accounts, build self-service dashboards, and write SOPs so clear that any new People Ops hire can ramp in days, not weeks.
- • Partner with Finance on payroll, equity refreshers, and compensation bands. When the CFO asks, “What is our fully-loaded cost per head in LATAM?” you will have the model ready before the meeting ends. You will also own the monthly headcount reconciliation, ensuring that every new hire, promotion, and termination flows cleanly into the budget forecast.
- • Champion a remote-first culture that spans 10+ countries and counting. You will ship swag boxes that clear customs, curate virtual coffee chats, and launch micro-recognition programs that make distance disappear. Whether it’s a Dia de los Reyes surprise or a Slack bot that celebrates work anniversaries, you will create moments that reinforce our values of clarity, velocity, and customer obsession.
- • Coordinate recruiting logistics like a seasoned air-traffic controller. You will schedule interviews across four time zones, shepherd candidates through background checks, and ensure every new hire has a laptop, a welcome kit, and a first-week agenda that sparkles. When a candidate in Bogotá needs a visa letter or a hiring manager in Austin wants to tweak the interview loop, you will make it happen without drama.
- • Build vendor relationships that scale. From our global PEO to the boutique firm that prints custom stickers, you will negotiate contracts, track renewals, and monitor SLAs so that every dollar spent returns value in productivity, compliance, or culture.
- • Drive continuous improvement through data. You will maintain a living KPI dashboard—time-to-fill, eNPS, turnover, cost-per-hire, D&I metrics—and present insights that influence executive decisions. When you spot a spike in regrettable attrition among engineers in Q3, you will already be testing stay-interview templates and manager-training pilots.
- • Be the calm in the storm during sensitive employee-relations moments. You will triage complaints, conduct impartial investigations, and partner with legal counsel when necessary, always balancing compassion with risk mitigation. Your documentation will be so thorough that even a future auditor will say, “Wow, they thought of everything.”
- • Leave every process better than you found it. Whether it’s rewriting the onboarding checklist in Notion, creating a bilingual parental-leave guide, or automating the offboarding survey, your fingerprints will be on every system that helps Tesorio scale from 150 to 500 employees and beyond.
