- • Own full-cycle recruitment for Commercial, R&D, Corporate Strategy, Technology & Quality, and G&A organizations—every requisition from non-exempt to senior management—ensuring a seamless, white-glove experience for candidates and hiring managers alike.
- • Partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to translate business objectives into precise talent specifications: headcount needs, job duties, required competencies, team dynamics, and long-term succession plans.
- • Architect and execute innovative sourcing strategies that go beyond traditional job boards; build and nurture evergreen pipelines of passive, high-caliber talent through networking, market mapping, Boolean search, social media, and targeted outreach.
- • Drive employer-branding initiatives that position Sumitomo Pharma America as an employer of choice in oncology, urology, women’s health, rare diseases, psychiatry & neurology, and cell & gene therapy—leveraging storytelling, events, and digital campaigns to attract mission-driven professionals.
- • Conduct rigorous, competency-based interviews that assess both technical acumen and cultural alignment; provide evidence-based recommendations that reduce time-to-hire while elevating quality-of-hire.
- • Educate and coach interview panels on compliant, inclusive selection practices; ensure every step—from requisition approval through offer extension—adheres to EEO, OFCCP, and internal audit standards.
- • Leverage Workday Recruiting (and Paradox where applicable) to configure workflows, generate real-time dashboards, and maintain impeccable data integrity for affirmative-action and ad-hoc reporting.
- • Create and refine process-improvement tools—playbooks, templates, intake forms, scorecards—that accelerate cycle times and elevate hiring-manager satisfaction scores.
- • Extend competitive, timely offers; negotiate complex packages including base, bonus, equity, and relocation; partner with Total Rewards to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates and hiring teams, providing transparent, proactive communication that reinforces our mission: “For Longer and Healthier Lives, we unlock the future with cutting-edge technology and ideas.”
- • Build strategic talent maps for critical roles, forecasting skills gaps 12–18 months ahead; maintain warm relationships with silver-medalist candidates to reduce future vacancy costs.
- • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion by embedding D&I goals into every search, tracking funnel metrics, and presenting actionable insights to senior leadership.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with Talent Management, L&D, and Workforce Analytics to align recruitment with leadership development, succession planning, and retention initiatives.
- • Contribute to ad-hoc projects—market-salary benchmarking, ATS optimization, recruitment-marketing pilots—that amplify the TA function’s impact on Sumitomo’s global growth trajectory.
