- • Own the full life-cycle of recruitment for Diageo Australia – from deep talent-market intelligence and creative sourcing to assessment, offer management and seamless onboarding – ensuring every hire is ahead of the curve and every candidate journey is world-class.
- • Act as the primary Talent Engagement partner for the Australian market, working shoulder-to-shoulder with Commercial (Sales), Consumer Marketing, Supply Operations, Finance, Corporate Relations, Legal, HR, Controls & Compliance and global functional teams located in Sydney, Huntingwood and Bundaberg.
- • Translate Diageo’s global employer brand and employee value proposition into locally resonant stories that attract diverse, high-potential talent across both iconic brands (Johnnie Walker, Singleton, Lagavulin, Talisker, Don Julio, Smirnoff, Baileys, Tanqueray, Guinness) and homegrown heroes (Bundaberg Rum, Don Papa Rum).
- • Build and curate evergreen talent pipelines for critical roles, leveraging data-driven market insights, competitor mapping, social media campaigns, targeted events and non-traditional sourcing channels to ensure Diageo is always first to the best talent.
- • Consult and challenge senior hiring managers and HR Business Partners on bold internal moves, succession gaps and external hires, injecting the right level of tension and creativity into talent conversations to unlock potential and accelerate performance.
- • Drive inclusive and diverse hiring practices by embedding I&D metrics into every search, partnering with Employee Resource Groups, and championing equitable assessment processes that reflect Australia’s multicultural workforce and Diageo’s global consumer base.
- • Orchestrate virtual assessment centres, digital interviewing, psychometric tools and AI-enabled sourcing while maintaining a human-centric candidate experience that embodies Diageo’s purpose: “Celebrating life, every day, everywhere.”
- • Serve as the local “Think Tank” for talent market intelligence – surfacing external trends (skills shifts, remuneration movements, competitor talent strategies) and translating them into actionable insights for quarterly workforce planning and annual talent reviews.
- • Collaborate with Rewards, First Point Shared Services and global CoE teams to craft compelling, compliant offers and relocation packages that balance market competitiveness with internal equity and long-term retention.
- • Continuously refine recruitment processes through Lean and agile methodologies, reducing time-to-hire and cost-per-hire while elevating hiring-manager and candidate Net Promoter Scores.
- • Mentor junior recruiters and coordinators within the APAC Talent Engagement hub, fostering a culture of curiosity, experimentation and knowledge sharing across Manila, Shanghai and Sydney.
- • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and ethics, handling sensitive executive searches, succession data and remuneration details with discretion and earning trust from candidates and stakeholders alike.
- • Contribute to global TE projects such as ATS upgrades, employer-brand toolkits, diversity hackathons and early-careers programmes, ensuring Australia’s voice is represented in every global initiative.
- • Measure and communicate success through dashboards that track funnel metrics, quality-of-hire, diversity representation and business impact, presenting findings to the APAC Talent Engagement Lead and local Executive Committee.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of end-to-end recruitment experience within a global corporate environment or top-tier search firm, ideally covering the Australian market.
- • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders and complex mandates in a fast-paced, matrixed organisation.
- • Strong external radar for talent market trends, competitor intelligence and best-practice sourcing methodologies.
- • Data-literate: comfortable extracting insights from ATS, Excel, PowerBI or similar tools to drive decisions and tell compelling stories.
- • Exceptional consultative and influencing skills with a track record of embedding Inclusion & Diversity into daily recruiting practices.
- • Business-fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages advantageous but not required.
