  • • As a Talent Partner at Fractional AI, you will play a pivotal role in scaling an elite engineering team that builds custom generative AI solutions for enterprise clients, directly contributing to the company’s mission of bridging the gap between AI theory and real-world impact.
  • • You will be an early architect of the talent function, shaping how Fractional AI attracts, evaluates, and retains top-tier engineering talent during a period of rapid, profitable growth—over 100% quarter-over-quarter revenue increase and plans to 4x the team this year.
  • • Day to day, you will source exceptional full-stack engineers through targeted outbound email campaigns, AI-augmented sourcing tools, and active participation in in-person AI meetups and technical events across San Francisco and New York City.
  • • You will partner with candidates throughout the full recruitment lifecycle—from initial outreach and screening interviews to technical assessments, offer negotiations, and closing—ensuring a deeply personalized, empathetic experience that uncovers motivations and cultural fit.
  • • You will design and refine a data-driven, inclusive recruiting process that leverages AI to reduce bias, improve efficiency, and elevate candidate experience, continuously experimenting with new approaches and measuring outcomes.
  • • As a brand ambassador, you will actively shape Fractional AI’s employer brand by sharing the company’s story at events, crafting compelling outreach narratives, and highlighting the unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge gen AI projects with veteran founders.
  • • You will collaborate closely with hiring managers and interviewers to align on role requirements, improve interview calibration, and build trusted relationships that streamline hiring decisions and enhance team cohesion.
  • • You will contribute to building scalable recruiting infrastructure—documenting processes, creating equitable scorecards, and implementing automation where possible—to support the goal of hiring 100+ engineers over the next year.
  • • You will immerse yourself in Fractional AI’s culture by participating in AI lunch-and-learns, monthly happy hours, and project shares, gaining firsthand insight into how the team overengineers culture and overuses AI to drive excellence.
  • • In your first 30 days, you will audit current engineering roles and hiring workflows, launch experimental outbound campaigns, collaborate on process improvements, begin conducting technical screens, and extend your first offer—laying the foundation for your impact.

  • • You will hone your ability to build leverage through AI augmentation, automation, and data experimentation, turning recruiting into a scalable, high-leverage function that mirrors the company’s own engineering ethos.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven success hiring Staff, Principal, and Senior Engineers at early-stage technology companies, with a track record of identifying and closing elite technical talent.
  • • Strong empathy and relationship-building skills, with the ability to quickly establish trust with candidates, hiring managers, and interviewers across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • • Demonstrated experience using data to drive recruiting decisions—running experiments, measuring funnel metrics, and iterating on sourcing, screening, and offer strategies.
  • • Experience designing inclusive, equitable hiring processes that reduce bias and improve diversity outcomes while maintaining a high bar for talent.
  • • Technical fluency in software engineering concepts, including familiarity with Kubernetes, React, cloud platforms, and AI/ML engineering practices, to effectively evaluate candidate fit.
  • • A bias toward action and reliability—consistently following through on commitments, balancing attention to detail with strategic thinking, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
  • • Obsession with building leverage: routinely seeking ways to automate repetitive tasks, augment effectiveness with AI tools, and improve efficiency without sacrificing quality.
