📋 Description
- • Lead a team of software engineers and quality engineers through the full software development lifecycle, from product inception to release and ongoing maintenance of major and point product releases.
- • Collaborate closely with product managers, product owners, engineering leaders, and cross-functional teams including CloudOps, TechOps, and UX Design to evolve PDI’s next-generation technology solutions.
- • Drive adoption and continuous improvement of Agile development practices across the engineering team, ensuring alignment with SDLC processes and delivery timelines.
- • Champion high standards for software quality by promoting code quality best practices, increasing automation test coverage, and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines.
- • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers, fostering a culture of learning, accountability, and innovation within the team.
- • Partner with CloudOps and TechOps to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure deployment of applications supporting PDI’s global convenience retail and petroleum technology platforms.
- • Act as a key liaison between engineering and product stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical execution plans and deliver customer-centric solutions.
- • Monitor team performance and process efficiency, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce technical debt, and enhance overall engineering productivity.
- • Encourage and support the professional growth of team members through regular feedback, goal setting, and career development discussions.
- • Ensure that all software delivered meets PDI’s standards for performance, security, and user experience, directly contributing to the success of flagship products like GasBuddy.
- • Promote a culture of collaboration, diversity, and integrity, aligning team goals with PDI’s mission to connect convenience through cutting-edge mobile applications and real-time market intelligence.
- • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements that enhance product capabilities and engineering efficiency.
- • Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups to maintain transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement within the Agile framework.
- • Advocate for customer-focused development by leveraging shopper insights and real-time data to inform product decisions and engineering priorities.
- • Ensure seamless integration of new features and updates across PDI’s global technology ecosystem, supporting convenience retail and petroleum brands worldwide.
