  • • Reporting directly to the Director of Contact Center Operations, you will embody a player-coach philosophy, taking direct responsibility for the success and development of your team of Insurance Sales Agents. At Jerry, we go beyond simply selling insurance; we are dedicated to simplifying the most complex and often frustrating aspects of car ownership for our rapidly expanding customer base of over 5 million users. As a Team Lead, your primary focus will be to ensure your team consistently delivers a tailored, seamless, and exceptional experience for every customer. You will serve as a critical link between the day-to-day execution on the front lines and the broader operational strategy, guiding your team to achieve aggressive sales targets while simultaneously collaborating with our Product and Engineering teams to shape the future evolution of the Jerry super app.
  • • Your responsibilities will span multiple critical areas, ensuring both individual agent growth and overall team performance. You will be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and sales excellence through rigorous performance coaching. This involves conducting regular call audits to identify areas for development, meticulously tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and providing structured, in-depth monthly coaching sessions designed for talent development and skill enhancement. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your assigned squad, overseeing essential operational functions such as scheduling to ensure optimal coverage, conducting performance reviews to provide constructive feedback and recognition, and expertly onboarding new, high-caliber hires to maintain team strength and morale.
  • • A significant aspect of your role will involve driving operational excellence by acting as a vital conduit for feedback. You will provide direct, actionable insights to our Product Managers and Engineering teams, contributing to the enhancement of our internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), the refinement of our GenAI tools, and the overall improvement of the Jerry app user experience. To maintain a deep understanding of the customer journey and to lead by example, you will also engage in direct customer interactions. This includes hopping onto the front lines to assist customers, simplifying complex insurance jargon, preparing quotes, and facilitating the binding of policies. This hands-on involvement ensures you remain sharp on the nuances of the customer experience and can effectively coach your team based on real-time insights.
  • • Beyond day-to-day operations and coaching, you will play a key role in shaping our growth strategy. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders across insurance operations to proactively identify gaps in current coverage offerings and to devise innovative strategies for increasing new business policy sales and enhancing customer retention. Your ability to analyze market trends, understand customer needs, and translate these insights into effective sales tactics will be crucial for the continued expansion of Jerry's market share. This role demands a leader who is not only adept at managing a team but also possesses a strategic mindset capable of contributing to the company's long-term vision and success in the competitive insurance landscape.
