Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Join Ladder's mission to redefine strength training and help millions get stronger with our top-ranked iOS app.
- • Full-time and remote-friendly (US time zones), with HQ in Austin, TX.
- • We are growing rapidly - $90M ARR ($3M in 2023), 4.9 stars (100k+ ratings), and a finalist for Apple's 2025 App of the Year.
- • As we scale, we're looking to bring on a Team Manager to help drive the quality, consistency, and performance of our coach-led fitness programs.
- • Team Management at Ladder means owning the strategy, systems, and standards that make a Ladder Team work.
- • This isn't account management. It's running a business inside a business, with real autonomy and real numbers attached to it.
- • Ownership & Standards
- • Own the day-to-day execution, performance, and management of your assigned Ladder teams
- • Review and analyze workout programming and hold everything members see to a 5-star bar
- • No team is ever finished. Every workout and every member experience has to be better than the last.
- • Every new team starts as an idea. You own the launch, the coach's onboarding, and making sure the team is built for the right member.
- • Coach Partnership
- • Serve as the primary liaison between Ladder and your assigned coaches, building high-trust relationships
- • Shape programming strategy alongside your coaches - what a team trains toward, how it progresses, and how it evolves for its members
- • Help coaches deliver across the whole experience - programming, coaching, media, and community
- • Own the metrics that drive your teams' success
- • Meet regularly to turn data and feedback into clear, actionable guidance
- • Research & Insight
- • Live in the product as a member - complete your teams' workouts regularly and stay active in Team Chat (in-app community chats). You can't improve what you haven't experienced.
- • Monitor team performance using platform metrics and member feedback, and build your own surveys when the data you need doesn't exist yet
- • Know your teams' target members deeply - who they are, what they want, and what keeps them training
- • WHO YOU ARE
- • You're a 10x Operator - part GM, part fitness nerd, part analyst.
- • You'll always have more coaches, teams, and good ideas than hours, and deciding what gets your week is the job.
- • When a number moves, up or down, you don't stop at reporting it - you go deep to find out why, then you fix it or you scale it.
- • You're comfortable owning an outcome, and comfortable telling a coach something they don't want to hear.
- • You move fast, but nothing sloppy gets past you.
- • You'd rather build the system than work the queue.
- • The Foundation
- • 2+ years in business operations, program/project management, or account management
- • A current fitness certification (NASM, NSCA, ACE, or similar)
- • You know good programming from bad - you can analyze a week of workouts and say whether it holds up
- • You can pull data, read it, and diagnose what's actually driving it
- • You pick up tools fast - Google Workspace, Amplitude, and Claude, plus our in-app systems
- • You can build and analyze your own surveys
- • You thrive in fast-paced, high-agency environments
- • The Mindset
- • Member obsessed - you lose sleep over anything less than 5-star reviews
- • Diagnostic and data-backed - you find what caused it, and you can prove it
- • Final line of defense - organized and detail-oriented to a fault, nothing ships to members that you wouldn't put your name on
- • Systems-minded - you thrive inside structure and leave it better than you found it
- • AI-native - you use it to take on things you couldn't before, not to grammar check email
- • High agency - you don't wait for permission to solve problems
- • 🎯 WHY JOIN LADDER?
- • The Business
- • Well capitalized (Series B)
- • Profitable unit economics with disciplined growth
- • Big ambition: building a household name beyond fitness that our peers and children recognize in a decade
- • The Culture
- • High-performing team that wins the right way
- • "Let you cook if you have the chops" environment
- • Veteran team focused on customer problems and fast execution
- • The Benefits
- • Competitive salary + equity
- • Full health benefits (medical, dental, vision)
- • Unlimited PTO
- • New company computer and hardware
- • Austin HQ with remote flexibility (US time zones)
- • Paid fitness certifications and continuing education relevant to your role
- • Monthly gym membership stipend
- • Free Ladder membership for you and your family
- • Fully-stocked gym @ Ladder HQ
