Your ability to dive into technical challenges, architect solutions, and guide the team through complex implementations will be essential for success.
- • You will be tasked with establishing and continuously refining operational processes to ensure excellence in execution. Clear and effective communication with stakeholders across engineering, product, and other departments will be paramount to ensure alignment and transparency.
- • Collaboration is key. You will work closely with other engineering leaders within the Toronto office to support the growth and scaling of the entire Toronto engineering team. This includes contributing to hiring strategies, fostering cross-team collaboration, and promoting a unified engineering culture.
- • You will play a critical role in driving Zip’s multi-region expansion by partnering closely with the Core Infrastructure team in San Francisco. - • Your responsibilities will extend to overseeing and enhancing Zip’s Kubernetes platform, ensuring its robustness, scalability, and security. You will also lead efforts to improve our observability stack, providing deep insights into system performance and health, and optimizing our deployment tooling to enable faster, more reliable releases.
- • This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring the reliability and resilience of our infrastructure. You will champion a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and the adoption of new technologies where appropriate to maintain Zip's competitive edge.
- • As the local site lead for the Foundations Engineering Group in Toronto, you will be a key representative of this function, contributing to its strategic direction and ensuring its effective operation within the Toronto office. This includes fostering a strong sense of community and shared purpose among the Toronto-based infrastructure engineers.
