- • As a Tech Lead Manager for Vision & AI at Voxel Technologies Inc., you will own the applied machine learning work that powers the company’s perception system, which detects human activity, equipment interactions, environmental hazards, and operational states in real time across thousands of cameras in manufacturing, logistics, retail, and pharmaceutical environments.
- • You will set technical direction for vision and ML capabilities, write and review code, make architecture decisions, hire and lead a small team of applied ML engineers, stay hands-on in development, debug production issues, and work directly with product, sales, and customers to turn real-world problems into shipped models.
- • Voxel Technologies builds perception systems that started with safety applications and are now expanding into operations like equipment utilization, workflow compliance, and process efficiency, serving demanding industrial customers who require reliable, real-time AI performance.
- • In this role, you will ship weekly, see your models deployed in hundreds of facilities shortly after training, lead a high-impact technical team, and gain end-to-end ownership of ML systems from data to production in high-stakes environments.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years building applied ML systems that shipped to production with real users
- • Strong Python skills across the full ML lifecycle: training, evaluation, deployment, and inference at scale
- • Fluency with modern vision and multimodal methods (detection, segmentation, tracking, VLMs) and judgment on when to apply each
- • Experience owning projects end to end from ambiguous requirements and messy data to deployed models
- • Bias toward shipping—preferring to deliver good solutions quickly over waiting for perfection
- • Some experience leading technical work, such as mentoring junior engineers or leading a small project or team
