📋 Description

  • **Lead the next generation of real-estate software** – As Tech Lead Wüest Dimensions you sit at the intersection of business vision and technical excellence, steering the evolution of a flagship product that is used daily by thousands of real-estate professionals across Europe. You will own the technical roadmap, decide on architecture patterns, and ensure every line of code moves the product closer to market leadership.
  • **Turn complex domain knowledge into elegant code** – Real-estate valuation is a data-rich, regulation-heavy world. You will translate abstract business rules (tax codes, zoning laws, market indices) into clean, testable Java 17 micro-services and reactive front-end components in Angular/React. Your designs must scale from a single condo appraisal to portfolio-level analytics for institutional investors.
  • **Architect for scale and reliability** – You will design cloud-native, containerised services that handle millions of property records and real-time market feeds. Expect to define RESTful contracts, choose between event-driven or request/response paradigms, and enforce non-functional requirements (sub-second latency, 99.9 % uptime, GDPR compliance).
  • **Mentor and multiply talent** – You will lead a cross-functional squad of 6-10 engineers (backend, frontend, QA, DevOps) and act as the go-to mentor for Java, Spring, testing strategies, and clean-code practices. Through pair-programming, brown-bag sessions, and lightweight ADRs you will raise the bar for the entire chapter.
  • **Drive requirements from ambiguity to clarity** – Sit shoulder-to-shoulder with Product Owners and business analysts to dissect epics, uncover hidden edge cases, and translate them into user stories with clear acceptance criteria. Your ability to ask the right questions early saves weeks of rework later.
  • **Champion quality and DevOps culture** – You will define the testing pyramid (unit, integration, contract, e2e), introduce mutation testing, and ensure CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes) ship green builds to production multiple times a day. Security scanning and performance benchmarks are part of the definition of done.
  • **Foster a feedback-rich environment** – Run blameless post-mortems, encourage open pull-request reviews, and use metrics (DORA, lead time, MTTR) to continuously improve team health. You celebrate experimentation and treat failures as data.
  • **Bridge the gap between legacy and innovation** – Parts of the stack still run on monolithic Java 8; your mission is to strangle the monolith, migrate services incrementally, and keep feature delivery uninterrupted. You will write migration guides, coach teams on feature toggles, and ensure zero-downtime releases.
  • **Stay close to the customer impact** – Join client workshops, observe how valuers use the product on-site, and bring first-hand insights back to the team. When a new regulatory change drops, you will prototype a compliant solution within days, not months.

🎯 Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering with at least 3 years in a technical-lead or staff-engineer role
  • Expert-level Java (17+) and deep experience with the Spring ecosystem (Boot, Cloud, Data, Security)
  • Proven ability to design and deliver RESTful micro-services that scale horizontally and meet strict SLAs
  • Strong front-end fluency: hands-on experience with either Angular or React and a passion for component-driven development
  • Demonstrated success in mentoring engineers, running code reviews, and establishing engineering best practices
