- • As a Tech Lead for Web Core Product & Chrome Extension at Speechify, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience for over 50 million people who rely on Speechify’s text-to-speech products to transform reading into audio, enabling faster learning and better retention.
- • Day to day, you will actively ship production code to web products, collaborate closely with your dedicated product team, participate in product discussions to influence the roadmap, and contribute to new features that impact millions of users globally.
- • You will join a fully distributed, high-caliber team of nearly 200 engineers, AI researchers, and product experts from top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Stanford, as well as high-growth startups such as Stripe, Vercel, and Bolt, all united by a mission to eliminate reading barriers.
- • In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow as a technical leader in a flat organization where impact and results drive influence, sharpen your product decision-making skills, and deepen your expertise in building scalable, user-centric web applications using modern frontend technologies.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience building and shipping products that have scaled to thousands or millions of users
- • Strong proficiency in the tech stack: Vanilla JS, ReactJS, Redux, Firebase, and Typescript
- • Customer obsession with a passion for building high-quality products that serve real user needs
- • Ability to work quickly, prioritize effectively, and balance speed with quality in a fast-paced startup environment
- • Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with designers, marketers, and product managers in a remote, opinionated team
- • Focus and discipline to know when to engage collaboratively and when to work heads down on complex tasks
