- • As a Tech Lead for Web Core Product & Chrome Extension at Speechify, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of accessible learning by leading the development of products used by over 50 million people worldwide to transform text into speech.
- • Day to day, you will actively ship production code to web products, collaborate closely with your dedicated product team, participate in product discussions to influence the roadmap, and contribute to new features that impact millions of users’ ability to learn and retain information.
- • You will join a fully distributed, high-caliber team of engineers and product thinkers from companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and top startups, all united by a mission to eliminate reading barriers and foster a culture of ownership, speed, and technical excellence.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in modern web technologies, lead through technical influence in a flat organization, and grow as a leader by delivering high-impact results quickly while mentoring peers and shaping engineering culture.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience building and shipping products that have scaled to thousands or millions of users
- • Strong proficiency in the tech stack: Vanilla JS, ReactJS, Redux, Firebase, and Typescript
- • Demonstrated ability to work quickly, make decisive trade-offs, and balance speed with quality in a fast-paced environment
- • Excellent collaboration skills, including the ability to negotiate and align with opinionated designers, marketers, and product managers
- • Customer-obsessed mindset with a passion for building high-quality products that serve real user needs
