- • Actively ship production code to Speechify’s web products, including the Chrome Extension and Web App, ensuring high performance and reliability for millions of users.
- • Work closely with a dedicated product team to translate user needs into technical solutions that enhance the text-to-speech experience across platforms.
- • Participate in product discussions and contribute directly to shaping the product roadmap based on user feedback, usage data, and market trends.
- • Build and iterate on new, high-impact features that enable users to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio, removing barriers to reading and learning.
- • Maintain and improve the existing codebase built on Vanilla JS, ReactJS, Redux, Firebase, and TypeScript, ensuring scalability and maintainability as user growth continues.
- • Collaborate with designers, marketers, and product managers to align technical execution with user experience goals and business objectives.
- • Operate in a fast-paced, fully remote environment with a flat organizational structure where leadership is earned through technical excellence and consistent delivery.
- • Prioritize speed and focus by identifying which features can ship immediately versus those requiring further refinement, balancing velocity with quality.
- • Demonstrate customer obsession by deeply understanding how users interact with Speechify’s products and using that insight to drive product decisions.
- • Embrace a hands-off management style that empowers autonomy, enabling deep focus and ownership over technical outcomes and product direction.
- • Contribute to building a strong asynchronous culture that supports global collaboration without reliance on real-time communication.
- • Engage in a rapid interview process designed to assess technical capability and cultural fit, with decisions typically made within one week.
- • Work alongside engineers and AI researchers from top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google, as well as graduates from leading PhD programs including Stanford.
- • Help scale a product that has been recognized by Google as Chrome Extension of the Year and by Apple as App of the Day, serving over 50 million users worldwide.

- • Experience building and shipping products that have scaled to thousands or millions of users
- • Proficiency in Vanilla JS, ReactJS, Redux, Firebase, and TypeScript
