- • Clipboard Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tech Ops Builder (Generalist) to join our dynamic, remote-first team across the United States. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling our internal operational technology stack, with a primary focus on our AI-powered tooling and Zendesk ecosystem. As we continue our rapid expansion into new verticals and business systems, we need a builder who can take ownership of the technical delivery of critical operational infrastructure. If you thrive on building robust systems from the ground up and have a proven track record of deep technical understanding and execution, this role is for you.
- • At Clipboard Health, our mission is to uplift professionals by providing them with opportunities for career growth and financial independence through our innovative app-based marketplace. We connect workplaces with on-demand talent, facilitating millions of shifts annually. As a fast-growing, profitable Series C company backed by Y Combinator, we are committed to leveraging technology to enhance both professional and operational efficiency.
- • In this role, you will be instrumental in constructing an enterprise-grade operational technology platform designed to support our internal operations at a $1.3 billion marketplace. You will be at the forefront of automating core agent workflows through our advanced AI tooling. Your primary responsibility will be to own the technical build-out of our operational technology foundation, beginning with our comprehensive Zendesk ecosystem. As you demonstrate impact and success, your scope will expand to encompass broader business systems across the organization.
- • This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for foundational system building and a desire to replicate that success at an even larger scale. We are not looking for individuals who have only maintained existing systems; we are seeking those who have the hands-on experience of architecting and implementing solutions from inception. Your ability to go five levels deep into explaining the intricacies of systems you've built will be a key indicator of your suitability for this role.
- • Key responsibilities will include architecting, developing, and implementing solutions within the Zendesk platform to optimize agent workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall operational experience. This involves understanding business needs, translating them into technical requirements, and delivering scalable and maintainable solutions.
- • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Product, and Engineering, to ensure seamless integration of new tools and systems. This collaborative approach is crucial for aligning technical initiatives with broader business objectives and ensuring the successful adoption of new technologies.
- • The role demands a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement. You will leverage your technical expertise to design and implement solutions that reduce manual effort, minimize errors, and increase productivity across our operational teams.
- • Furthermore, you will be responsible for the ongoing technical management and evolution of the operational technology stack. This includes monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing updates and enhancements to ensure the platform remains robust, secure, and aligned with evolving business requirements.
- • As we expand into new business systems, you will be a key player in evaluating, selecting, and integrating new technologies. This might involve working with CRM systems, data warehousing solutions, or other critical business applications that support our marketplace operations.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of system architecture, API integrations, and best practices in software development, applied specifically within an operational context. Your ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and deliver high-quality technical solutions will be paramount.
- • This is a remote position, open to candidates across the United States. For those in the Seattle area, there is an option to work in a hybrid format. We are building a global, remote team of over 700 professionals and are looking for individuals who are self-starters, possess excellent communication skills, and are eager to contribute to a rapidly growing company that is making a significant impact in the healthcare staffing industry.
- • If you are excited by the prospect of building foundational technology, driving operational excellence through innovative solutions, and contributing to a mission-driven organization, we encourage you to apply. Your ability to demonstrate a history of building impactful systems from the ground up will be a critical factor in our evaluation process.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience building and owning technical systems from scratch, with the ability to explain the architecture and implementation in detail (five levels deep).
- • Strong technical proficiency in building and managing operational tooling, with a specific emphasis on Zendesk ecosystem development and administration.
- • Experience with API integrations and automation within business systems.
- • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary and equity package.
- • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
- • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holidays.
- • Opportunities for professional development and career growth within a rapidly expanding company.
- • Remote work flexibility across the U.S. (with hybrid option in Seattle).
