• • RingCentral, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and technically proficient Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager to join our dynamic team. You will be instrumental in maintaining a rigorous internal control and reporting environment, ensuring adherence to the highest standards expected of a sophisticated, fast-growing SaaS company.
• • As a Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager, your primary responsibility will be to research, analyze, and meticulously document technical accounting issues. This includes preparing comprehensive memos and calculations that substantiate accounting conclusions, facilitating smooth and efficient external audit reviews. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), with a particular focus on, but not limited to, complex areas such as ASC 350-40 (Capitalized Software), ASC 340 (Capitalized Commissions), ASC 842 (Leases), ASC 718 (Stock-Based Compensation), ASC 805 (Business Combinations), and ASC 480 (Debt & Equity).
• • You will be a key collaborator, working closely with diverse teams across Accounting Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, HR, and other departments. Your role will involve ensuring that technical accounting guidance is not only understood but also consistently and effectively operationalized throughout the organization. This cross-functional partnership is vital for maintaining accounting integrity and driving business objectives.
• • A significant aspect of your role will be to support initiatives aimed at enhancing our external reporting readiness. This involves navigating and documenting complex accounting topics, refining disclosures, and implementing process improvements to ensure transparency and accuracy in our financial reporting.
• • You will play an active part in designing and implementing efficient, SOX-compliant accounting processes and robust internal controls. These efforts are critical for supporting the company's rapid growth and ensuring a strong governance framework.
• • Partnering with our external auditors and consultants will be a regular part of your responsibilities. You will work collaboratively to ensure timely and accurate conclusions are reached on all significant accounting matters, maintaining strong relationships and clear communication.
• • Furthermore, you will contribute to the development of our accounting team by providing training and mentorship to junior members on technical accounting topics and emerging accounting standards. Sharing your knowledge and expertise will foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the department.
