• • We are seeking a highly motivated and technically adept Technical Assistant to the CEO to play a pivotal role in our rapid expansion. This hybrid role, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, offers a unique opportunity to work directly with the CEO and contribute across multiple critical facets of the company, from engineering execution and technical strategy to customer engagement and operational excellence. You will be instrumental in translating our ambitious vision into tangible results, ensuring our engineering efforts are aligned with strategic goals, and maintaining the operational rigor necessary for a high-growth startup.
• • Your responsibilities will span a broad spectrum, demanding both deep technical acumen and strategic foresight. You will be tasked with owning the day-to-day engineering execution across our Research, Product, and Infrastructure teams. This involves establishing and refining agile development cadences, such as sprints, regular reviews, and retrospectives, to ensure we maintain our characteristic startup velocity without compromising on quality or direction. A key aspect of this role is contributing directly to our codebase, writing code for critical product paths, and conducting thorough, in-depth code reviews. This hands-on technical involvement is crucial for upholding our stringent standards for code quality, architectural integrity, and overall system robustness.
• • Furthermore, you will partner closely with the CEO on strategic roadmapping, a vital function that bridges our long-term vision with actionable technical milestones. This entails proactively identifying potential risks, anticipating future challenges, and developing mitigation strategies to ensure seamless progress. Your ability to "see around corners" will be essential in preventing blockers and keeping our development trajectory on track. In the realm of customer and sales engineering, you will participate in high-stakes customer calls, acting as a technical liaison. Your role will involve meticulously translating customer feedback into concrete product requirements and effectively articulating our complex AI architecture, its underlying trade-offs, and its unique value proposition to enterprise clients and potential buyers.

This includes leading and refining our hiring processes, ensuring we attract and onboard top talent efficiently. You will also take ownership of critical compliance and security initiatives, such as achieving and maintaining SOC 2 certification, and managing the operational flow of the "CEO Office." This involves streamlining internal communications, meticulously tracking commitments and action items, and ensuring clear priority management across the executive team and broader organization.
