📋 Description

• This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.
• The Technical Cloud Architect (Virtualization & Cloud Infrastructure) will serve as a trusted technical advisor to our largest strategic customers.
• You will bring deep, hands-on expertise in KVM-based virtualization and the surrounding ecosystem — automation, observability, software-defined networking (SDN), and hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) storage — to help customers design, validate, and adopt modern private cloud architectures powered with HPE CloudOps Software.
• This is a customer-facing, high-impact role that sits at the intersection of pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, and product strategy.
• You’ll spend your time in technical whiteboard sessions, hands-on proof of concepts, and writing the design guidance that shapes how customers deploy at scale — while also being a direct voice back into our engineering organization.
• The Technical Cloud Architect will engage with large strategic customers on technical and architectural discussions, acting as a subject-matter expert on KVM virtualization and adjacent cloud infrastructure technologies.
• You will design and execute proof of concepts (PoCs) that demonstrate solution value and validate architecture decisions in customer environments.
• You will author design guides and reference architectures that document best practices for deployment, scaling, and operations.
• You will provide structured product feedback to engineering, representing the voice of the customer and helping shape the roadmap.
• You will partner with sales, product management, and customer success teams to support the technical sales cycle from discovery through deployment.
• You will have hands-on production experience with KVM-based hypervisor platforms and their surrounding ecosystem, including automation, observability, software-defined networking (SDN), and hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) storage.
• You will have deep hands-on experience at VMware, Red Hat, or Nutanix, or Hyperscalers.
• You will have strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both engineering and executive audiences.
• You will have experience running customer-facing proofs of concept and producing technical documentation or design guides.
• You will have comfort working cross-functionally with engineering, product, and sales teams.
• You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
