- • As a Technical Consultant at Ping Identity, you will be instrumental in architecting, installing, integrating, and deploying cutting-edge Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions for a diverse clientele. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful adoption and implementation of Ping Identity's intelligent, cloud identity platform, enabling clients to provide secure and seamless digital experiences for their users. You will act as a key technical advisor to both clients and implementation partners, guiding them through complex technical landscapes and ensuring solutions align with best practices. Your expertise will directly contribute to the digital freedom and security of businesses across various critical sectors, including financial services, manufacturing, and government.
- • In this dynamic role, your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of technical consulting activities. You will engage directly with clients to understand their unique business, process, system, and technology requirements, meticulously evaluating their current problem states and defining desired future states. Based on these assessments, you will provide expert recommendations and design solutions that leverage Ping Identity's robust IAM products. A significant part of your role will involve hands-on participation in the detailed solution design, implementation, and delivery phases, ensuring that Ping Identity solutions are configured and deployed precisely to meet client specifications. You will also be responsible for installing and configuring these solutions, working closely with clients to ensure a smooth and effective deployment. Furthermore, you will develop and refine technical consulting materials, including best practices guides, report templates, delivery guides, and knowledge base articles, to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the professional services team and our partners. A key aspect of your contribution will be mentoring and assisting in the development of both internal and external technical resources, sharing your deep knowledge of IAM and Ping Identity products. You will also collaborate with partners to ensure their architectural designs align with Ping's best practices, fostering successful customer deployments and acting as a technical liaison for escalated customer issues that require specialized deployment expertise.
- • You will be joining Ping Identity, a company dedicated to making digital experiences secure and seamless without compromise, a philosophy they call 'digital freedom.' This ethos extends from their technology to their company culture, which champions individuality and encourages employees to bring their authentic selves to work. Ping Identity serves some of the world's largest enterprises, including over half of the Fortune 100, by providing an intelligent, cloud identity platform that allows users to shop, work, and interact securely and frictionlessly. The company is headquartered in Denver, Colorado, with a global presence, and is actively changing how businesses approach cybersecurity, digital experiences, and identity and access management. The Professional Services team, to which this role belongs, is focused on ensuring clients achieve maximum value from Ping Identity solutions through expert technical guidance and implementation support.
- • In this role, you will have the opportunity to significantly deepen your expertise in the rapidly evolving field of Identity and Access Management. You will gain extensive experience with Ping Identity's comprehensive suite of IAM products and solutions, working with a variety of enterprise-level clients and complex technical environments. This position offers a unique chance to hone your consulting skills, learning to effectively assess client needs, design robust technical solutions, and manage complex implementations. You will also develop valuable skills in mentoring and technical enablement, contributing to the growth of both colleagues and partners. By working on diverse projects across multiple industries, you will broaden your understanding of different business challenges and how IAM solutions can address them, positioning you as a highly sought-after expert in the cybersecurity and identity management domain. The experience gained in architecting and deploying enterprise-grade IAM solutions will be invaluable for career advancement within Ping Identity or the broader tech industry.
- • The role requires a strong foundation in technical consulting and a minimum of five years of experience, with at least two years specifically focused on Identity and Access Management within large organizations or enterprises. A background in consulting within the IAM space, particularly with heritage self-managed ForgeRock or PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud (P1AIC), including practical system integration and implementation experience, is essential. You should be comfortable discussing and working with core networking concepts like TCP/IP, and understand key identity protocols and standards such as OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0, OIDC, LDAP, and various data store technologies. Proficiency in programming and scripting languages like Java, JavaScript, and Groovy, along with web technologies such as HTML and CSS, is necessary to support web application development aspects of implementations. Essential soft skills include being self-motivated, proactive, organized, capable of working independently, and adept at managing communications effectively. A Bachelor of Science degree in a related field like Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Information Systems, or equivalent practical work experience, is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are paramount for client interaction and documentation. Ideally, candidates will reside within the Eastern Americas region and adhere to the Eastern Timezone (EST) for optimal collaboration within the team and with clients.
- • To further enhance your candidacy, having Computer and Software Security certifications would be advantageous. Similarly, holding ForgeRock or Ping training badges or certifications demonstrates a specialized understanding of relevant technologies. Experience with DevOps best practices, including proficiency with deployment automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Terraform, and Kubernetes, would also be a significant asset, enabling more efficient and scalable solution deployments. The ability to travel up to 20% of the time is a requirement for this role, as on-site client engagement may be necessary for certain projects. The compensation for this role ranges from $130,000 to $150,000 annually, with the final salary determined by individual qualifications and experience, in accordance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
