đź“‹ Description
- • Flagright is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Content Writer & Social Content Lead to join our dynamic team in Malaysia. This pivotal role is designed for an individual who can transform Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge into high-quality, conversion-aware content assets, and then strategically repurpose them for effective organic social distribution. You will be instrumental in establishing content as a predictable, high-impact engine for Flagright, moving beyond heroic efforts to a systematic approach.
- • As the Technical Content Writer & Social Content Lead, you will own the end-to-end content production lifecycle. This includes drafting and iterating on a variety of content formats such as blog posts (focusing on SEO, thought leadership, and point-of-view pieces), product and industry explainers, competitive comparison articles, tactical how-to guides, and opinionated pieces where appropriate. You will also be responsible for developing comprehensive handbooks and guides, which serve as structured, long-form assets crucial for supporting marketing campaigns and driving lead capture.
- • Maintaining a consistent communication cadence is key, and you will craft engaging newsletters on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. These newsletters are designed to compound trust with our audience and reactivate dormant leads. Furthermore, you will draft compelling case studies and client announcement pieces, focusing on narrative structure and polished execution to highlight our successes and partnerships.
- • A significant part of your role will involve creating clear, concise product and use-case explainers. These assets need to effectively communicate what Flagright is, why it matters, how it works, provide proof points, and include a clear Call to Action (CTA). The definition of 'done' for your drafts means they are publish-ready – polished, accurate, on-brand, well-structured, and CTA-aware, rather than just initial thoughts.
- • Beyond content creation, you will own the strategy and execution of our organic social media presence. This involves transforming core content assets into engaging social-native formats suitable for platforms like LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), Medium, and Reddit. You will create short threads, carousels, concise POV posts, and potentially draft founder executive voice content when needed.
- • You will be responsible for creating weekly social media content batches that align with our overarching content calendar and current priorities, including product launches, active campaigns, and key proof points. Collaboration is essential, and you will work closely with our creative designer to develop necessary visuals such as diagrams, carousels, and simple charts. You will also coordinate with program and campaign leads to ensure a smooth publishing and distribution schedule, actively avoiding calendar collisions.
- • To maintain efficiency and effectiveness, you will manage a lightweight social content system. This includes maintaining a post bank, a library of compelling hooks, a repository of proof points, and an 'evergreen' content rotation strategy. Basic tracking of social media performance, such as post frequency, engagement quality, top-performing content, and recurring patterns, will be part of your responsibilities.
- • You will build and maintain a repeatable content system that streamlines operations. This system will encompass content briefs, outlines, interview notes, and source links. Implementing version control with consistent naming conventions and managing a central content repository for final assets and reusable components will be crucial. A visible pipeline view, showing content at various stages (discovery, drafting, review, revision, approved), will ensure transparency and efficient workflow management.
- • A key differentiator for this role is the proactive extraction of insights from sales calls. You will schedule dedicated time with the sales and retention teams to gather raw insights through short, structured interviews, asynchronous Q&A sessions, and call shadowing. You will own the process of transforming these often messy inputs into structured, publish-ready drafts. Building and maintaining a question bank by topic will accelerate this insight extraction process over time.
- • Collaboration with our SEO lead is vital. You will work together to understand and implement SEO requirements, including target keywords, content structure, internal linking opportunities, and alignment with search intent. You will be responsible for implementing basic on-page SEO elements in your drafts, such as headings, relevant FAQs, placeholders for internal links, and metadata suggestions.
- • Finally, you will maintain a content Quality Assurance (QA) checklist to ensure all published content meets high standards. This checklist will cover clarity, structure, reading flow, technical accuracy (avoiding overclaims), voice consistency, positioning, CTA placement, conversion intent, and basic compliance aspects like avoiding sensitive client disclosures, unapproved claims, and ensuring correct terminology.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience writing B2B content, particularly on technical, product, or process-heavy topics.
- • Ability to translate sales and product input into clear, concise writing with minimal supervision.
- • Strong written English skills (near-native or CEFR C1-C2 equivalent) and confident spoken English for interviews.
- • Comfortable conducting structured interviews with sales, product, and customer success teams and synthesizing information quickly.
- • Strong editorial judgment, with a keen eye for clarity, structure, precision, and knowing what content to omit.
- • Ability to work at a fast pace without compromising accuracy or quality, managing tight turnarounds effectively.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary and benefits package.
- • Opportunity to work with a lean, high-performance team with direct access to leadership.
- • Remote work flexibility.
- • Chance to shape and own content strategy for a growing AI-native fintech compliance platform.
- • Professional development and learning opportunities in a fast-paced startup environment.
