📋 Description

• As a Technical Deployment Lead in Abu Dhabi, you will define how OpenAI delivers complex AI systems to customers in the UAE, owning end-to-end delivery from planning to adoption and ensuring deployments drive measurable business impact.
• You will translate business outcomes into technical plans, manage day-to-day execution across Forward Deployed Engineers, Researchers, and Customer Engineers, and embed with customer teams to map workflows, drive adoption, and lead change management.
• You will partner with Product and Research teams to align platform components with deployment goals, codify reusable solution patterns, and share field insights to influence roadmap and architecture decisions.
• Success is measured by deployment impact, delivery reliability, operating leverage, judgment under pressure, and product impact — with a focus on delivering value that becomes critical to customer workflows.
• This founding UAE-based role offers high autonomy, hybrid work (3 days/week in office), relocation assistance, and up to 50% travel to customer sites.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of customer-facing technical delivery leadership with a track record of leading large, complex, high-stakes engagements where customer outcomes depended on tight coordination and fast decision-making, ideally involving AI.
• Proven ability to excel in high-ambiguity environments, simplify complex work, and move fluidly between system-level understanding and execution-level detail.
• Strong technical fluency with experience shipping AI/LLM systems, understanding solution patterns, integration basics, and production pitfalls, plus expertise in at least one major sector (e.g., healthcare, energy, financial services, semiconductors, IT).
