📋 Description

• Lead a distributed team of technical Advocates across APAC to drive customer and community engagement in India and the broader region.
• Directly engage with developers from startups to Fortune 500 companies to deliver hands-on workshops, architectural reviews, and schema design sessions focused on MongoDB and AI-native capabilities.
• Deliver live developer enablement sessions to technical audiences ranging from 40 to 400 participants, both in-person and online.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on document schema design, performance optimization, and the integration of MongoDB’s core and AI-powered features into enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and other cross-functional teams to develop, scale, and adapt high-impact enablement content tailored to strategic customer accounts.
• Mentor and guide team members, including Solutions Architects and Marketing partners, to strengthen regional engagement practices and technical alignment.
• Share and refine best practices for customer and community engagement, track business impact, and report actionable feedback collected from developer interactions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local developer communities, user groups, and technical events to expand MongoDB’s presence and influence in APAC.
• Create and curate technical content—including code samples, tutorials, and blog posts—to empower developers and increase adoption of MongoDB’s platform.
• Stay current with emerging trends in AI, data engineering, and developer tooling, and apply this knowledge to enhance enablement programs and customer outcomes.
• Travel up to 60% to support in-person engagements, events, and customer visits across India and the APAC region.
• Act as a player-coach: contribute technically while leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing team of technical advocates.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and accessibly to developers of all skill levels, fostering inclusive and productive technical dialogues.
• Align all activities with MongoDB’s core value of Building Together, emphasizing team success over individual achievement.
• Represent MongoDB at industry conferences, meetups, and developer forums as a trusted technical voice and evangelist.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience working with development or engineering teams in designing database schemas and implementing highly performant and scalable database methods, including 5 years of experience consulting with development teams as a non-member of the team
• At least 5 years of experience managing and hiring technical teams of engineers or advocates
• Strong presentation skills, with the ability to lead technical sessions at public events and online
• Portfolio of code and content you’ve created, or led creation of, to enable developers and drive awareness
• Willingness to travel up to 60%
