- • Lead the team building Workflow Metadata Extraction Agents within Ironclad’s Core Apps pillar, driving AI-powered contract intelligence that transforms agreements into actionable assets.
- • Manage and grow a high-performing engineering team while maintaining hands-on technical involvement, with a 60-70% focus on leadership/strategy and 30-40% on direct technical contribution including design reviews, prototyping, and coding.
- • Own end-to-end delivery of Agentic Extraction features—Intake, Review, and Archive agents—that automate contract metadata extraction, eliminate manual data entry, and ensure data integrity across the negotiation lifecycle.
- • Partner with Product and Design to define strategic roadmaps, manage cross-team dependencies, and ensure solutions address complex legal use cases with technical excellence and user-centric design.
- • Champion AI-forward engineering practices by adopting tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and LLM-based automation to boost team velocity and code quality.
- • Ensure operational excellence by collaborating with Quality Engineering to define robust testing strategies for non-deterministic AI outputs, maintaining production-grade reliability.
- • Contribute directly to the codebase using TypeScript, React, and Node.js, with opportunities to influence architecture decisions and prototype new agentic behaviors in a hybrid work environment (minimum two in-office days per week).
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping production-grade web applications.
- • 2+ years of experience in engineering management or technical leadership (TLM), including mentoring and growing engineers.
- • Hands-on experience building applications that interface with LLMs, including prompt engineering, agentic loops, and managing LLM latency/reliability.
- • Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js; experience with Docker/Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
- • Demonstrated ability to thrive in zero-to-one environments, navigate ambiguity, and adapt quickly to changing technical constraints.
- • Strong product mindset with deep care for user experience, focused on solving real pain points for legal professionals rather than building technology for its own sake.
