Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As a Technical Ex-Founder at Flagright, you will bring your startup experience and technical leadership to the product team, directly contributing to the company’s mission of combating financial crime through AI-powered compliance solutions. Your role is critical in bridging deep technical expertise with enterprise sales execution, ensuring that complex customer needs are translated into scalable, high-impact product innovations that drive revenue and customer success.
- • You will lead high-stakes enterprise sales cycles alongside the founding team, owning technical discovery, solution design, and proof-of-concept engagements that convert prospects into closed deals. This includes acting as the primary technical voice in pre-sales, where you’ll translate customer compliance workflows and infrastructure requirements into compelling Flagright architectures, and managing post-sale technical relationships with strategic accounts to drive adoption, uncover expansion opportunities, and prevent churn through proactive engagement.
- • You will build and refine essential sales enablement assets such as demo environments, integration guides, RFP libraries, and ROI frameworks — creating repeatable playbooks that empower future hires and accelerate time-to-value. By partnering closely with Product, you’ll close the loop between customer pain and product roadmap, leveraging your dual experience in building and selling to ensure feedback is actionable and impactful.
- • Representing Flagright at industry events, partner discussions, and executive prospect meetings, you’ll use your founder credibility to open doors that traditional sales roles cannot, positioning the company as a trusted advisor in financial crime compliance. Additionally, you’ll identify and resolve the most persistent bottlenecks in GTM and customer operations — whether process, tool, or communication-related — to improve efficiency and scalability across the organization.
- • You’ll thrive in a lean, high-performance culture where individual ownership is paramount, working directly with founders and top-tier engineers from backgrounds like Y Combinator, AWS, and Palantir. This role offers unparalleled opportunity to shape both product and go-to-market strategy while operating in a low-bureaucracy, asynchronous environment that values learning, execution, and continuous improvement over routine or hierarchy.
- • In this role, you will develop advanced enterprise sales acumen, deepen your expertise in financial crime compliance domains (AML, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening), and refine your ability to architect and communicate complex technical solutions to both engineering and executive stakeholders. You’ll leave behind lasting systems — not just relationships — by institutionalizing knowledge through documentation, playbooks, and scalable processes that outlive any individual contribution.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a technical founder or in a technical sales, solutions engineering, or customer success role where you owned end-to-end customer conversations and drove enterprise deals from zero to revenue.
- • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts — such as API architecture, data flows, and system integrations — into clear business value for both technical buyers (CTOs, engineers) and non-technical stakeholders (Chief Compliance Officers, risk leaders).
- • Background in engineering, product, computer science, data, or infrastructure that enables you to engage deeply with customer technical teams and understand implementation realities beyond surface-level discussions.
- • Based in or near London with the legal right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Equity from day one in a Y Combinator-backed startup with clear product differentiation and strong traction in the financial crime compliance space.
- • Opportunity to work alongside a high-caliber team including alumni from Y Combinator, AWS, and Palantir in a low-bureaucracy, asynchronous culture that prioritizes impact over meetings.
- • Exposure to real-world enterprise sales cycles and direct influence on product strategy through close collaboration with founders and the product team, accelerating your growth as a technical leader and operator.
