- • As a Technical Lead - Data at Juniper Square, you will play a pivotal role in scaling the company’s data infrastructure to support its mission of unlocking the full potential of private markets by digitizing commercial real estate, private equity, and venture capital assets, enabling greater transparency, efficiency, and access across a global financial ecosystem.
- • You will lead the evolution of Juniper Square’s data and reporting experiences by designing and implementing robust data pipelines, shaping analytics products, and ensuring data quality and governance as the company scales its analytics capabilities internally and for external customers.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing and implementing sophisticated data models in SQL, collaborating closely with software engineers to ensure scalable and sound implementations, and serving as the technical expert on data matters as the team grows.
- • You will introduce new technologies to enhance data pipeline capabilities, document data models, architectural decisions, and data dictionaries to improve collaboration and maintainability, and assist with governance, code reviews, and access controls to uphold data quality and confidentiality.
- • Externally, you will develop fluency in transforming application data to support customer decision-making; internally, you will guide product and development teams on instrumentation and foundational work for product usage reporting.
- • You will deliver projects with minimal guidance while knowing when to collaborate, and build scalable, high-performance infrastructure that transforms raw data into clear business insights from diverse sources.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- • 7-11 years of experience building ETL or ELT pipelines from scratch
- • Strong command of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), data modeling, and database design
- • Strong command of Python and experience building production web applications using Python
- • Experience with cloud-based services (AWS RDS preferred)
- • Experience developing on or administering BI/data visualization platforms (e.g., Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, Mode, Data Studio, Domo, QlikView)
- • Basic understanding of data warehouses such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake
- • Demonstrated ability to translate data into clear, actionable narratives and communicate insights to stakeholders
- • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
