- • Lead and manage the first engineering team in India, balancing 40% leadership responsibilities with 60% hands-on technical contribution.
- • Participate directly in architecture reviews, code reviews, technical discussions, and hiring decisions while maintaining active involvement in coding and system design.
- • Scale a high-performing engineering organization spanning backend systems, platform infrastructure, frontend experiences, and machine learning without compromising speed, quality, or culture.
- • Develop future technical leaders by mentoring, coaching, and providing structured feedback to engineers aiming to become staff engineers, tech leads, or engineering managers.
- • Partner with leadership to raise the hiring bar by identifying, evaluating, and onboarding exceptional engineering talent from world-class organizations.
- • Drive technical excellence by guiding architecture decisions, ensuring high standards in code quality, and maintaining a rigorous bar for execution as the team grows.
- • Build and evolve engineering systems including processes, performance management, career development frameworks, and organizational design from first principles.
- • Connect technical decisions to customer outcomes by applying product thinking to prioritize features and improvements that deliver real business value.
- • Work on ambitious technical problems at the intersection of AI, data, and enterprise software, including agent orchestration, reasoning systems, and distributed data infrastructure.
- • Foster an environment of end-to-end ownership where engineers in both India and US teams are trusted to own meaningful parts of the product and platform.
- • Maintain and elevate the team’s talent density by upholding the standard set by engineers from Google, Meta, Rubrik, Glean, and other elite organizations.
- • Operate with high ownership and low ego, focusing on outcomes over titles and building an organization rather than inheriting one.
- • Uphold the company’s CRAFT principles: Customer trust, Relentless on outcomes, Authenticity, First principles grounded in reality, and Transparency in all interactions.
- • Work in-office five days a week in Bengaluru, collaborating closely with the global team in a fully in-person environment.
