Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own the entire lifecycle of production-grade blockchain networks. You will launch new mainnets, coordinate hard-forks, manage snapshots and pruning, and ensure every upgrade can be rolled back cleanly within minutes. Your fingerprints will be on every chain that QuickNode supports.
  • • Run Kubernetes at serious scale. We operate hundreds of clusters across multiple clouds and regions; you will tune HPA, VPA, ingress, and custom controllers to squeeze every millisecond of latency and every dollar of cost out of the platform while keeping blast-radius minimal.
  • • Automate relentlessly. From golden images and Helm charts to Terraform modules and Ansible playbooks, you will build infrastructure-as-code that is repeatable, versioned, and peer-reviewed. New chains should deploy with a single PR and zero manual clicks.
  • • Lead incidents from first page to final post-mortem. When a SEV-0 hits, you will coordinate the war-room, drive the rollback or hot-fix, and then author a crisp RCA that turns pain into durable improvements. Expect to see MTTR drop and SLO adherence rise under your watch.
  • • Instrument everything that matters. You will define SLIs, error budgets, and burn-rate alerts using Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki. Dashboards will be actionable, alerts will page only when users hurt, and every metric will tie back to business impact.
  • • Write sharp, purpose-built tooling in Go or Python. Whether it is a snapshot-restore utility, a state-sync health-checker, or a tiny client patch that unblocks a stuck network, your code will run in production within days—not quarters—and often be open-sourced upstream.
  • • Master blockchain internals. You will debug JSON-RPC quirks, tune validator node performance, and trace consensus issues across EVM (Geth, Erigon, Besu), Cosmos SDK/CometBFT, Solana Agave, and Substrate chains. Deep protocol knowledge turns outages into one-line fixes.
  • • Model capacity and cost like a business owner. You will forecast traffic spikes, negotiate reserved instances, and design multi-cloud failover so that reliability goes up while spend stays flat. Your spreadsheets will be as elegant as your Terraform.
  • • Collaborate async-first across time-zones. We follow-the-sun for 24Ă—7 coverage, but on-call is humane and rotations are transparent. Most decisions happen in Notion, Slack, and GitHub; meetings are rare and always have an agenda.
  • • Grow fast, teach faster. Within 12 weeks you will have led a mainnet upgrade, closed a dozen papercuts, and mentored a teammate through their first incident. Your career path can stay deeply technical or expand into staff-level architecture—your choice.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 4+ years running Linux and Kubernetes in production, including debugging networking, storage, and performance at scale
  • • Hands-on expertise with Terraform, Helm, and Ansible for repeatable, version-controlled infrastructure
  • • Strong scripting or software skills in Go or Python (plus Bash) with examples of tooling you shipped
  • • Production experience operating RPC or validator nodes on at least one major blockchain stack (EVM, Cosmos, Solana, or Substrate)
  • • Nice-to-have: multi-cloud cost modeling, anycast/BGP networking, upstream open-source contributions, or client-level protocol patches

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Remote-first culture with flexible hours and follow-the-sun on-call that respects work-life balance
  • • Competitive, region-aligned compensation plus performance bonus and meaningful early-stage equity
  • • Annual professional development budget for conferences, courses, and certifications
  • • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage for you and dependents in every country we hire
