📋 Description

• Works closely with internal and external business stakeholders to interpret high-level business, compliance, and financial needs for complex projects with minimal existing documentation or precedent.
• Represents business requirements at the Agile team level to ensure delivery of functionality that aligns with business and client objectives across Assurant’s Lifestyle – Connected Home Business, including US Major Appliance, Electronic, and Jewelry products.
• Writes clear, detailed functional and technical user stories to communicate stakeholder needs to Agile teams, accepts completed stories post-demo, and manages backlog prioritization and planning.
• Serves as the primary subject matter expert for departmental applications and data, providing authoritative knowledge to support decision-making and system functionality.
• Leads solution definition and requirement refinement for multiple concurrent global initiatives, operating as a self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Analyzes complex processes, interfaces, and sub-systems to identify areas for modification; documents existing and new business workflows and participates in new process design efforts.
• Identifies, investigates, and resolves non-routine, high-complexity problems by conducting root cause analysis, recognizing trends, and recommending viable solution alternatives.
• Manages inter-team dependencies, determines which issues fall within TPO authority versus those requiring escalation to engineering or higher leadership.
• Communicates release timelines and scope to stakeholders and teams, ensuring transparency and alignment across product initiatives.
• Actively participates in all Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint grooming, sprint planning, and sprint reviews.
• Attends major release deployments and provides weekend support as required to ensure smooth product rollouts and operational continuity.
• Processes time-sensitive, complex data from multiple sources to make informed decisions and communicate clear actions to technical and non-technical teams.
• Builds and maintains productive working relationships with both technical teams and non-technical business partners to foster collaboration and alignment.
• Demonstrates strong organizational and planning skills to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Technical Product Owner, Business Analyst, SME, or process owner
• 2+ years of progressive experience gathering requirements and writing user stories for business application needs
• 3+ years of experience working in Agile development environments
• Experience supporting web portals or websites is highly desired
• Exposure to AI tools to streamline workflows and processes
• Ability to lead, prioritize, and complete multiple concurrent tasks independently or as part of a team
