đź“‹ Description
- • Fluidstack is at the forefront of building the infrastructure for abundant intelligence, partnering with leading AI labs, governments, and enterprises to accelerate the realization of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). We are driven by a mission to deliver world-class compute infrastructure with unparalleled speed and reliability, treating our customers' success as our own. If you are a highly motivated individual, obsessed with excellence, and eager to contribute to a purpose-driven organization that is shaping the future of intelligence, we invite you to join our dynamic team.
- • As a Technical Program Manager for Infrastructure Asset and Logistics, you will play a pivotal role in the end-to-end lifecycle management of our globally distributed GPU infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on optimizing the utilization of our extensive hardware fleet, ensuring efficient procurement and deployment processes, and maximizing the return on investment (ROI) for every asset. This role demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of IT asset management principles, supply chain operations, and the unique demands of high-performance computing environments.
- • You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive asset management strategies tailored to our diverse range of assets, including GPU servers, critical networking equipment, and essential data center infrastructure. This involves meticulous tracking and management from the initial procurement phase through deployment, ongoing maintenance, return merchandise authorization (RMA) processes, and final decommissioning. Your efforts will directly contribute to the operational efficiency and financial health of our infrastructure.
- • A key aspect of this role involves establishing robust asset inventory systems. You will design and implement sophisticated tracking processes and develop predictive models to forecast hardware refresh cycles, ensuring we maintain optimal performance and avoid costly downtime. This proactive approach to asset management will be crucial in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our global operations.
- • You will lead critical cross-functional initiatives aimed at significantly optimizing asset utilization across our entire fleet. This includes identifying underutilized resources, implementing strategies for reallocation, and driving down the total cost of ownership (TCO) without compromising performance or reliability. Your ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, finance, and operations teams will be paramount to success.
- • Financial acumen is essential, as you will manage asset depreciation schedules, develop detailed financial models, and construct compelling business cases to support strategic hardware investments. This includes evaluating new technologies, assessing upgrade requirements, and ensuring our capital expenditures align with our long-term strategic goals.
- • Vendor management will be a significant responsibility. You will be tasked with negotiating contracts with key suppliers and service providers, establishing stringent Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for deployment, maintenance, and end-of-life processing. Building strong, collaborative relationships with vendors will be crucial for ensuring timely service delivery and favorable terms.
- • Overseeing warehouse operations, inventory management, and the entire spectrum of logistics is central to this role. This encompasses everything from receiving and inspection of new hardware to kitting, shipping, managing customs documentation, and coordinating international freight. You will ensure that our supply chain is seamless, efficient, and cost-effective.
- • You will work closely with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, continuously optimizing shipping costs, minimizing transit times, and maintaining the highest levels of inventory accuracy across all our locations. Your expertise in logistics will ensure that hardware reaches its destination reliably and on schedule.
- • Developing and managing comprehensive RMA processes for defective hardware is critical. You will coordinate warranty claims with manufacturers, manage repair depot operations, and meticulously track failure rates, Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and turnaround times. This data will be invaluable for informing procurement decisions and holding vendors accountable.
- • Implementing secure decommissioning and data sanitization processes is a top priority. You will ensure compliance with stringent data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, as well as internal security policies. This includes overseeing the physical destruction of storage devices, maintaining meticulous records, and managing certificates of destruction.
- • You will establish and manage secure disposal and recycling programs for all end-of-life equipment, ensuring full compliance with environmental regulations like WEEE and RoHS. Partnering with certified e-waste recyclers will be essential to our commitment to sustainability.
- • Ultimately, you will be the guardian of our infrastructure assets, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and maintaining comprehensive, accurate asset documentation for audit and operational purposes. Your work will directly impact our ability to scale efficiently and maintain the high standards our clients expect.
