- • The Technical Program Manager, Rack Delivery role at OpenAI drives operational execution across rack manufacturing, site readiness, and deployment coordination for Stargate infrastructure programs, ensuring alignment between production timelines and deployment readiness.
- • Day to day, the person will drive cross-functional coordination between manufacturing partners, deployment teams, and infrastructure readiness programs; manage operational execution across contract manufacturers including CTB tracking and build planning; coordinate rack delivery timelines against deployment milestones; partner with sustaining engineering on RCCA tracking; translate strategic planning into SKU-level schedules; and develop reporting systems to improve visibility across concurrent deployment programs.
- • The Stargate organization builds and scales the physical infrastructure powering OpenAI’s next-generation AI training and inference platforms, operating at the intersection of data center infrastructure, hardware manufacturing, supply chain, and deployment operations, partnering closely across Infrastructure Strategy, Manufacturing Operations, Capacity Planning, Supply Chain, Deployment, and Engineering.
- • In this role, the person will develop expertise in large-scale hardware infrastructure execution, gain experience managing complex cross-functional programs in ambiguous environments, strengthen operational rigor and escalation management, and enhance their ability to align technical and operational stakeholders while communicating effectively with executive, engineering, and operational audiences.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of experience in technical program management, manufacturing operations, hardware operations, or infrastructure deployment
- • Experience managing large-scale hardware manufacturing or supply chain programs
- • Experience working with contract manufacturers, build planning, or deployment execution
- • Ability to drive structured execution in fast-moving and ambiguous environments
- • Strong operational rigor and escalation management skills
- • Highly cross-functional with ability to align technical and operational stakeholders effectively
