Technical Solution Architect

📋 Description

• • Architect & deliver end-to-end technical onboarding for enterprise customers deploying the Seqera Platform on AWS, GCP, Azure, hybrid, and on-prem clusters. You will own the technical workstream from discovery through go-live, translating scientific computing needs into scalable, secure, and cost-efficient architectures.
• • Partner with Sales and Scientific Development during pre-sales cycles to design winning solutions. Lead proof-of-concept builds, size infrastructure, estimate cloud spend, and craft reference architectures that demonstrate how Seqera accelerates customer pipelines.
• • Conduct deep-dive system reviews and optimization engagements. Profile Nextflow workflows, tune Kubernetes autoscaling parameters, right-size compute fleets, and implement infrastructure-as-code guardrails that cut runtime and cloud bills while boosting reproducibility.
• • Build and maintain customer-facing tooling—Python CLIs, Terraform modules, Helm charts, and CI/CD blueprints—that automate deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Your code will be reused by field teams and become part of the official Seqera delivery toolkit.
• • Act as the highest technical escalation point for Support. Triage complex performance or integration issues, reproduce failures in controlled environments, and coordinate hot-fixes with Engineering. Turn reactive fire-fights into proactive patterns that improve the product for every user.
• • Translate between scientific and engineering audiences. Whiteboard with bioinformaticians at 9 a.m., dive into Terraform plans with DevOps at noon, and present ROI dashboards to VPs by 5 p.m.—all while keeping the customer’s scientific mission front and center.
• • Champion best-practice sharing across the global Customer Experience org. Write runbooks, record demo videos, and run internal workshops so every Solutions Architect levels up from your discoveries.
• • Influence the roadmap. Surface recurring gaps—whether it’s a missing API endpoint or a new cloud region requirement—and work with Product to prioritize features that unlock new markets.
• • Stay on the cutting edge. Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., ARM instances, serverless batch, confidential computing) and quantify their impact on life-science workloads, ensuring Seqera customers always run on tomorrow’s infrastructure today.
• • Contribute to the open-source Nextflow ecosystem. Submit pull requests, author plugins, and speak at community events, reinforcing Seqera’s leadership and giving back to the 100,000+ scientists who rely on our tools.
