- • Partner with Sales to support qualified opportunities from discovery through close, leading technical conversations and workflow-driven product demonstrations for prospective construction clients.
- • Conduct discovery sessions to understand how customers currently build and manage project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Excel, and how scheduling integrates with field execution.
- • Deliver tailored product demos to diverse construction roles including project managers, superintendents, schedulers, and operations leaders, adjusting content based on project type, audience role, and scheduling maturity.
- • Clearly explain CPM scheduling principles — including logic, sequencing, constraints, calendars, and lookaheads — and demonstrate how Planera complements or replaces existing scheduling tools.
- • Lead follow-up technical conversations and deeper product dives throughout the sales cycle to address specific client needs and technical concerns.
- • Communicate effectively with construction professionals at all organizational levels, from field leadership to executive stakeholders, using clear, jargon-free language.
- • Translate real-world construction scheduling practices into product value propositions that resonate with users who rely on schedules to manage project timelines, resources, and dependencies.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to provide customer feedback and inform product improvements based on field insights.
- • Maintain deep familiarity with industry-standard scheduling workflows and challenges faced by general contractors and project owners in commercial and heavy civil construction.
- • Stay current on evolving construction scheduling technologies and best practices to ensure accurate, credible, and relevant client interactions.
- • Support the sales process by identifying client pain points related to schedule accuracy, collaboration, and execution alignment, and positioning Planera as the solution.
- • Prepare and customize technical documentation, workflow maps, and comparison materials to aid in prospect education and decision-making.
- • Represent Planera professionally at client meetings, virtual sessions, and occasional on-site visits to build trust and credibility within the construction community.
- • Adapt communication style to match the technical proficiency of each audience, ensuring clarity without oversimplifying complex scheduling concepts.
- • Contribute to the development of sales enablement materials by sharing insights from customer interactions and common technical objections.
- • Maintain a strong understanding of Planera’s product capabilities, roadmap, and competitive differentiators to confidently answer technical and functional questions.
- • Travel approximately 10–15% to meet with clients, attend industry events, or support key sales opportunities, with travel expectations varying based on business needs.
- • Operate as a fully remote team member while maintaining high engagement, responsiveness, and collaboration across time zones and geographies.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial or heavy civil construction
- • Hands-on experience building and managing project schedules using Primavera P6 (preferred) or Microsoft Project
- • Strong working knowledge of CPM scheduling principles, project sequencing, dependencies, and practical schedule usage in construction operations
- • Background as a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Superintendent with scheduling involvement, or other construction operations role with direct schedule ownership
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to engage construction professionals at all organizational levels
- • Strong technical aptitude and comfort learning and demonstrating new software tools
