📋 Description
- • As a Technische Sachverständige (m/w/d) Schaden/Versicherung in the Hamburg region, you will play a vital role in helping individuals and businesses recover from property and liability damages, ensuring fair and efficient claims resolution in line with Sedgwick’s ‘we care’ philosophy.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include independently managing and settling property and liability claims with a focus on building damages (high- and low-rise construction), conducting on-site inspections and damage assessments, preparing expert reports and statements, evaluating causes, scope, and repair costs of damages, and coordinating with insurers, policyholders, service providers, and other experts to ensure quality and customer-oriented claims handling.
- • You will be part of Sedgwick Germany GmbH, a Düsseldorf-based subsidiary of the global Sedgwick Group, a world leader in claims management, risk analysis, and expert reporting, combining corporate stability with the agility of a mid-sized firm serving primarily insurance industry clients.
- • In this role, you will develop into a Loss Adjuster in the Major and Complex Loss area, handling claims across all insurance lines from both technical and insurance perspectives, with opportunities to take on European and international cases as your experience grows, supported by flat hierarchies, flexible hours, and 100% remote work with full home office equipment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Completed degree in engineering (e.g., civil engineering, architecture, mechanical engineering) or training as a state-certified technician or equivalent qualification
- • Several years of professional experience in one of the above fields
- • Solid knowledge in the area of building damages
- • Good knowledge of high- and low-rise construction is advantageous
- • Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
- • Independent and structured work approach
- • Communication strength and customer orientation
- • Class B driver’s license
