📋 Description

  • Assist individuals and businesses affected by property damage by providing expert assessment and support to restore their situation after unexpected events.
  • Independently manage and settle property and liability claims with a primary focus on building damage (civil and structural construction).
  • Conduct on-site inspections and document damage through detailed assessments and photographic evidence.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, appraisals, and expert opinions for insurance claims.
  • Analyze causes of damage, determine the extent of loss, and estimate repair and restoration costs accurately.
  • Coordinate and communicate with all relevant stakeholders including insurers, policyholders, contractors, and other experts to ensure efficient claim resolution.
  • Ensure all claim handling adheres to quality standards and prioritizes customer satisfaction throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with senior management during large or complex claims, providing technical expertise and detailed documentation.
  • Travel within the Berlin metropolitan area as required to perform site inspections and meet client needs.
  • Operate fully remotely with 100% home office setup, supported by company-provided technical equipment.
  • Maintain flexibility in working hours while ensuring availability and responsiveness to clients and team members.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development through Sedgwick University and Workday Learning platforms.
  • Represent Sedgwick’s commitment to care by delivering empathetic, professional, and solution-oriented service to policyholders in distress.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team culture that values accessibility, active listening, and mutual support.

🎯 Requirements

  • Completed degree in engineering (e.g., civil engineering, architecture, mechanical engineering) or equivalent state-certified technical training
  • Several years of professional experience in one of the above-mentioned fields
  • Solid knowledge of building damage assessment and repair processes
  • Familiarity with high-rise and civil construction is advantageous
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Independent and structured work approach
  • Excellent communication skills and customer orientation
  • Valid driver’s license (Class B)
