- • Support and maintain the technology infrastructure that powers Kraken’s energy optimization platform, ensuring high availability and performance across global operations.
- • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud-based systems and automated workflows critical to renewable energy data processing.
- • Manage and optimize the integration of third-party APIs and data pipelines that connect utility systems, smart meters, and grid sensors to Kraken’s core platform.
- • Perform routine system audits, security patching, and compliance checks to align with industry standards for energy data handling and cybersecurity best practices.
- • Respond to production incidents and service outages with rapid diagnostics and resolution, minimizing downtime for clients relying on Kraken’s energy intelligence tools.
- • Document technical processes, system architectures, and operational procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity across the TechOps team.
- • Assist in scaling infrastructure to support growing client demand across international markets, including provisioning resources in AWS or equivalent cloud environments.
- • Work closely with product and data teams to ensure infrastructure supports real-time analytics, forecasting models, and customer-facing dashboards for energy utilities.
- • Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 coverage for critical systems that monitor and manage renewable energy generation and grid stability.
- • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- • Evaluate and recommend new tools, platforms, or services that improve system reliability, reduce operational overhead, or enhance energy data processing efficiency.
- • Serve as a technical liaison between internal teams and external vendors supporting hardware, software, or cloud services used in Kraken’s energy ecosystem.
- • Contribute to capacity planning by analyzing system usage trends and forecasting resource needs for upcoming product launches and client expansions.
- • Maintain accurate inventory records of servers, network devices, licenses, and cloud resources used across development, staging, and production environments.
- • Ensure all technology systems comply with data privacy regulations and energy sector-specific compliance frameworks applicable to customer and operational data.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in a production environment
- • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and system tasks
- • Strong understanding of network protocols, security practices, and system monitoring tools
- • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure
- • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible
- • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
