📋 Description
- • As a Territory Manager for Eye Care at Viatris Inc., you will be at the forefront of delivering innovative healthcare solutions to the Kansas City, MO region and surrounding territories, including Columbia, MO; Springfield, MO; Topeka, KS; Lincoln, NE; and Omaha, NE. Your primary mission will be to meet and exceed corporate sales objectives by cultivating and nurturing strong, lasting relationships with targeted Eye Care Professionals (ECPs). You will serve as a vital ambassador for Viatris, embodying its vision and culture within the eye care community, ensuring that our commitment to quality, access, and partnership resonates with every interaction.
- • This role demands a strategic approach to territory management, leveraging your deep understanding of disease states, the competitive marketplace, and evolving industry and business trends. You will be instrumental in identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities, driving pull-through initiatives, and ensuring the successful adoption of Viatris's products and services. Your ability to translate market insights into actionable sales strategies will be key to achieving consistent territory performance.
- • A core responsibility involves delivering MLR-approved, education-focused, and patient-centric messages to target ECP accounts. This requires not only a thorough grasp of our product portfolio but also the skill to communicate complex medical information clearly and effectively, always prioritizing patient well-being and adherence to regulatory standards. You will be expected to achieve ambitious business goals on a quarterly and annual basis, demonstrating a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
- • Collaboration is central to success in this role. You will work closely with a diverse range of internal partners, including field leadership and cross-functional teams, to ensure a seamless and positive experience for our ECP accounts and their patients. Your insights and feedback on strategic initiatives will be invaluable, contributing to the continuous improvement of Viatris's market approach. By consistently demonstrating the company's culture norms – characterized by integrity, professionalism, and a collaborative spirit – you will foster strong internal and external relationships.
- • To maximize your effectiveness, you will utilize territory business planning tools to uncover additional business opportunities and manage approved resources efficiently. This includes optimizing the allocation of resources to drive pull-through and capitalize on growth potential within your assigned geography. A commitment to upholding all legal, regulatory, and compliance policies is paramount, ensuring that all activities are conducted with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, coupled with a minimum of two years of experience in pharmaceutical, medical, or related sales. A proven track record in technical knowledge, advanced selling techniques, and a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology is essential. While eye care experience is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement, as Viatris values a combination of experience and education that demonstrates a strong aptitude for success in this dynamic field.
- • This is a remote position, but you must reside within or within reasonable driving distance of your assigned territory to facilitate effective client engagement and travel. A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required, as is the ability to travel, which may include overnight stays depending on the specific needs of the territory. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, applicable CRM systems, and similar databases is expected, alongside excellent English communication skills in speaking, comprehension, reading, and writing.
