- • Manage inbound interest from prospective installer and distribution partners in Southern California, engaging leads, qualifying fit, and guiding them through early-stage sales conversations with strong influence and persuasion skills.
- • Deliver clear, tailored pitches that highlight SPAN’s product value and program benefits, adapting discussions based on each partner’s business needs and opportunities.
- • Lead onboarding and activation calls for newly authorized installer and distribution partners using strong communication skills and business acumen.
- • Enable existing installer and distribution partners to deepen engagement and increase SPAN sales volume through ongoing support and strategic guidance.
- • Conduct market visits (~8–15 days per month) to support field events, trade shows, trainings, sales calls, partner ride-a-longs, and site visits within the Southern California territory.
- • Use Salesforce to track partner engagement, sales funnel conversion, and activation status, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
- • Analyze pipeline and territory-level metrics to identify top opportunities, bottlenecks, and areas for strategic intervention, applying business acumen to drive results.
- • Maintain clean, accurate CRM data and contribute to team-level sales forecasting with strong planning and priority-setting skills.
- • Measure ongoing sales performance using data to course correct strategies and optimize outcomes in the Southern California territory.
- • Develop territory and channel business plans in collaboration with leadership to align on strategic targets and local priorities that drive increased demand for SPAN products.
- • Contribute to team enablement efforts by sharing feedback, identifying operational blockers, and supporting continuous improvement of sales processes.
- • Manage inventory turns in the market to ensure alignment with territory business plan goals and product availability.
- • Partner with Channel Program Leads to leverage expertise and maximize the sales impact of SPAN’s channel programs.
- • Must reside in the Southern California territory to effectively participate in in-market events, partner visits, and field activities.
- • Hold a valid driver’s license to enable travel for market visits, partner meetings, and event attendance across the region.
- • Work in a fast-paced, evolving sales environment requiring high learning agility, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize tasks amid shifting priorities.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless partner onboarding, product education, and sales support.
- • Represent SPAN at industry events and trade shows to build brand awareness and generate qualified leads within the Southern California installer and distribution network.
- • Utilize analytic software tools (e.g., Google Sheets) to filter, interpret, and act on sales data to inform business planning and activity prioritization.
- • Maintain a deep understanding of SPAN’s mission to enable electrification and decarbonization, and communicate this value proposition effectively to partners.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, account development, product management, sales engineering, or sales operations
- • Proficient in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and high learning agility for new sales tools
- • Must reside in the Southern California territory to facilitate in-market events and activities
- • Must have valid driver’s license
- • Analytic skills: Proficient in analytic software tools (e.g., Google Sheets), ability to filter and analyze Salesforce reports, and use insights to prioritize activity and develop business plans
- • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and plan in a complex and ever-changing sales environment
