  • • As a Territory Sales Manager for National General, a proud member of The Allstate Corporation, you will be at the forefront of driving profitable growth and expanding market share within your assigned territory in Utah, specifically focusing on the Salt Lake City area.
  • • This fully remote role requires a dynamic and results-oriented individual who can consistently exceed new business production, direct written premium, and loss ratio goals, alongside other key performance indicators (KPIs) on an annual basis.
  • • You will serve as the primary company liaison for a network of independent insurance agents (IAs) within your market, fostering strong relationships and providing strategic guidance to help them achieve their business objectives and align with National General's growth strategies.
  • • A core responsibility involves collaborating closely with IAs to develop and periodically review agency-specific short-term and long-term strategic business plans, making necessary adjustments to ensure targets are met and opportunities are capitalized upon.
  • • This is a highly field-facing position, demanding approximately four days per week of direct engagement with agents and industry stakeholders. You will be responsible for driving key business initiatives, meticulously maintaining accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and follow-ups within the CRM software.
  • • You will play a crucial role in developing and nurturing the new agency appointment pipeline for your territory, actively seeking out and onboarding new partners to expand National General's reach.
  • • Furthermore, you will support National Accounts and Alternative Distribution Initiatives, ensuring the effective implementation of corporate agreements at the local market level.
  • • Collaboration extends to internal departments, including Product, Pricing, and Operations, where you will contribute to stakeholder (agency) and risk analysis on market-related issues, providing valuable on-the-ground insights.
  • • A key objective is to increase the quote and issuance flow for your assigned market, going beyond standard rate and underwriting trends by leveraging your sales expertise and agent relationships.
  • • You will utilize the full suite of production data and reporting tools to identify emerging trends, pinpoint opportunities for growth, and proactively address agency-level performance. This includes providing targeted training and addressing skill gaps to ensure agents can effectively execute their business plans.
  • • The role necessitates a strong understanding of industry technology and comparative rating platforms, facilitating product and user integration within your market and assigned agencies.
  • • Leveraging your deep knowledge of the independent agency channel, including competitors, major brokers, and national industry associations, you will gather market intelligence to effectively promote and position National General's diverse product offerings.
  • • You will be instrumental in identifying market enhancements that align with industry opportunities, ensuring National General remains competitive and responsive to evolving customer needs.
  • • Your performance will be measured against the business unit’s annual execution plan, encompassing growth, profitability, agency engagement, and new appointments, all under the guidance of a Regional Sales Manager and/or Zone Director.
  • • You will actively position and promote the comprehensive suite of National General Accident and Health (NGACC) Insurance products to your Independent Agency Partners. This includes a wide range of personal auto products, homeowners, commercial vehicle, flood, and recreational vehicle insurance, depending on state availability.
