  • • As a Test Automation Engineer at Greenbone Networks GmbH, you will be an integral part of our mission to deliver high-quality, secure, and reliable open-source vulnerability analysis and management solutions to a global clientele. You will be instrumental in ensuring the continued excellence of our products by designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated testing strategies. This role is crucial for identifying and rectifying potential issues before they impact our users, thereby safeguarding their digital infrastructures against evolving cyber threats. You will join a dynamic, motivated, and dedicated team that is passionate about cybersecurity and committed to innovation. Our company culture thrives on openness, teamwork, trust, and a strong emphasis on personal and professional growth, providing an environment where your contributions are valued and your career can flourish.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be the end-to-end design, development, automation, and ongoing maintenance of comprehensive test suites for our software products. This includes not only individual component testing but also ensuring the seamless integration and functionality across various cross-team workflows. You will be expected to write clean, efficient, and maintainable test code that effectively covers the intended functionality and potential edge cases.
  • • A significant part of your role will involve the meticulous analysis and review of test results. You will be responsible for documenting these findings clearly and collaborating closely with our development teams. This collaborative effort is key to swiftly identifying the root causes of any bugs or anomalies and working together towards their effective resolution. Your insights will directly contribute to improving the overall stability and performance of our software.
  • • Proactively identifying gaps in our existing test coverage is another critical aspect of this position. You will need to critically assess our current testing methodologies and prioritize the development of new test cases to address any identified weaknesses. This requires a deep understanding of our product's functionality and potential failure points.
  • • To ensure our testing efforts are perfectly aligned with our strategic goals, you will work in close partnership with developers, product managers, and designers. This cross-functional collaboration is essential for understanding business objectives and product requirements, translating them into effective testing strategies, and ensuring that our software meets and exceeds customer expectations.
  • • Beyond technical execution, you will play a vital role in promoting and strengthening a culture of quality awareness throughout the team and the wider organization. This involves advocating for best practices in testing, sharing knowledge, and encouraging a mindset where quality is a shared responsibility.
  • • You will be empowered to explore and implement new testing technologies and approaches, contributing to the continuous improvement of our QA processes. We encourage a proactive and innovative mindset, where you can bring your ideas to the table and help shape the future of our testing frameworks.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions in a rapidly growing market. You will be part of a company that is making a real difference in protecting organizations from cyber threats, providing a sense of purpose and impact in your daily work. Your efforts will directly contribute to the success and reputation of Greenbone Networks as a leader in the cybersecurity space.
  • • We believe in empowering our employees and providing them with the resources and autonomy needed to succeed. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of your work, drive initiatives, and see the tangible results of your efforts. The remote nature of this position offers flexibility and the ability to work from a location that best suits your productivity and well-being, supported by comprehensive ergonomic equipment for your home office.
