- • The Therapeutic Medical Scientist (Medical Science Liaison) role at Cytokinetics is a field-based scientific position focused on engaging healthcare providers, key opinion leaders, and internal stakeholders in the cardiovascular therapeutic area, particularly hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, to advance scientific exchange and support medical affairs objectives.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and engaging Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), maintaining scientific relationships with hospital-based healthcare professionals, serving as a scientific expert at conferences and meetings, providing medical information support, collaborating on medical education and publications, supporting clinical trial investigators, and contributing to account planning and field training initiatives.
- • Cytokinetics is a specialty cardiovascular biopharmaceutical company with over 25 years of innovation in muscle biology, dedicated to developing novel therapeutics for cardiac muscle dysfunction, operating with a patient-centered, integrity-driven, and scientifically rigorous culture.
- • In this role, the individual will deepen expertise in cardiovascular disease states and emerging therapies, develop advanced scientific communication and KOL engagement skills, gain cross-functional experience across Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and Commercial teams, and have opportunities to mentor peers and lead region-specific scientific initiatives, especially if progressing into a senior role.
🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced clinical or scientific degree (BSc, MSc, BPharm, MPharm, PhD, BM BS or equivalent)
- • Minimum of 2-5 years of MSL experience, preferably in cardiovascular therapy or hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
- • Must possess knowledge of MSL responsibilities and compliance with ABPI Code Standards, AIFA, and Farmaindustria regulations for interactions with Italian Healthcare Providers
