- • As a Title Examiner at First American Financial Corporation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the legal integrity of property titles for cooperative real estate transactions across New York State, directly supporting the company’s mission to provide reliable title insurance and settlement services.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing title examinations for cooperative properties throughout New York State (including NYC boroughs and surrounding counties), conducting detailed searches using ACRIS and county clerk systems, examining NY-specific documents such as deeds and mortgages, reviewing co-op documentation like proprietary leases and stock certificates, conducting UCC lien searches, identifying and resolving title issues (e.g., missing satisfactions, open mortgages, judgments), and preparing clear coop lien searches for underwriting and closing teams.
