- • Serve as a remote, field-based Trade Sales Specialist assigned to the Connecticut territory, selling DEWALT PTE, HTAS, STANLEY, LENOX, IRWIN, BOSTITCH, and PORTERCABLE brands directly to end-user customers in the commercial construction sector.
- • Achieve and exceed top-line sales targets aligned with divisional and local market objectives through strategic selling and account development.
- • Establish, develop, and maintain key relationships with end-user partners including trade associations, safety personnel, engineers, quality managers, general managers, line supervisors, chief mechanics, and purchasing departments.
- • Manage and administer CORE and other SBD user contracts and programs, ensuring compliance and maximizing customer engagement and retention.
- • Mentor and guide local market teams on end-user development processes, including identifying key decision-makers, understanding purchasing workflows (central and facility-level), and aligning efforts with product managers, distributors, and service centers.
- • Collaborate with Channel Marketing teams to plan, implement, and coordinate localized marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness and sales growth.
- • Utilize SalesForce.com as the primary CRM and planning tool to track opportunities, communicate progress, and refine sales strategies based on real-time data and feedback.
- • Communicate sales successes and challenges promptly to improve process efficiency and enhance future outcomes with key accounts and strategic opportunities.
- • Maintain a high level of professionalism and product knowledge across Stanley Black & Decker’s portfolio of industrial and construction tools and solutions.
- • Travel up to 50% within the Connecticut territory to conduct on-site customer visits, trade shows, and team meetings.
- • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills to influence high-level executives and C-suite decision-makers.
- • Apply empathy and determination to build trust, resolve customer concerns, and consistently deliver outstanding results.
- • Leverage Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook for reporting, presentations, and daily communication.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field preferred; relevant construction field experience may substitute for higher education
- • 3+ years of proven sales or marketing experience in the construction supplies industry, with a track record of delivering results
- • Experience selling to high-level executives, C-Suite, and jobsite directors
- • Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills
