- • Serve as a field-based Trade Specialist within the Syracuse, NY territory, selling DEWALT PTE, HTAS, STANLEY, LENOX, IRWIN, BOSTITCH, and PORTERCABLE brands directly to end-user customers in the commercial construction sector.
- • Achieve top-line sales targets aligned with divisional and local market objectives by identifying, engaging, and converting key trade accounts including trade associations, safety personnel, engineers, quality managers, general managers, line supervisors, chief mechanics, and purchasing departments.
- • Establish, develop, and maintain strategic relationships with end-user partners through tailored product and service solutions, while managing CORE and other SBD user contracts and programs.
- • Mentor and guide local market teams on end-user development processes, including identifying key decision-makers, understanding central vs. facility purchasing workflows, and aligning efforts with product managers, distributors, and service centers.
- • Collaborate with Channel Marketing teams to plan, implement, and coordinate localized marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness and sales growth.
- • Utilize SalesForce.com as the primary CRM and planning tool to track opportunities, communicate progress, report successes and failures, and refine sales processes for improved account management and future pipeline development.
- • Maintain accurate and timely communication with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment across sales, marketing, and operations functions.
- • Operate as a trusted advisor to construction professionals by combining product expertise with deep understanding of customer needs and purchasing behaviors.
- • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills to influence high-level executives and jobsite decision-makers.
- • Travel up to 50% within the assigned Syracuse, NY territory to conduct on-site visits, customer meetings, and market assessments.
- • Leverage Microsoft Office applications—including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook—to prepare reports, presentations, and communications supporting sales activities and account planning.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field preferred; relevant construction field experience may substitute for higher education
- • 3+ years of proven sales or marketing experience in the construction supplies industry, with a track record of delivering results
- • Experience selling to high-level executives, C-Suite, and jobsite directors
- • Valid Driver’s License and physical ability to travel up to 50% within territory
- • Proficient in Microsoft applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
- • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, organization, and multitasking skills
