- • Support client teams on complex M&A projects focused on operational diligence, merger integration, and carve-out initiatives, including Day 1 readiness, TSA development and operationalization, and 100-day integration plans.
- • Identify, model, and track synergies across finance, operations, and technology functions to drive post-deal value creation for private equity clients.
- • Lead or support the Integration Management Office (IMO) or Separation Management Office (SMO) for engagements, ensuring alignment of functional integration plans with client investment priorities and strategic goals.
- • Facilitate due diligence meetings to assess operational and technology strategies, organizational structures, current-state business processes, and enabling technologies for target companies.
- • Develop and execute cross-functional integration and carve-out workstreams, with emphasis on managing interdependencies between finance, HR, IT, supply chain, and commercial functions.
- • Prepare executive-level reporting and presentations for clients and internal sponsors, translating complex data and operational findings into actionable insights.
- • Contribute to the development and enhancement of Accordion’s proprietary M&A methodologies for diligence, integration, and carve-out engagements.
- • Mentor and coach junior consultants, providing guidance on project execution, client communication, and delivery standards.
- • Travel to client sites as required to support on-site project execution, stakeholder alignment, and implementation activities.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across finance, technology, and operations to deliver end-to-end value creation solutions aligned with the CFO agenda.
- • Engage directly with private equity sponsors and portfolio company leadership to understand strategic objectives and embed them into project deliverables.
- • Drive client service excellence by maintaining high standards of analytical rigor, communication clarity, and project discipline across all engagement phases.
- • Act as a self-starter in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, balancing detailed execution with big-picture strategic thinking across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- • Contribute to thought leadership materials and client proposals to support business development and practice growth.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in operational/commercial diligence, merger integration, carve-outs, business transformation, or change management
- • Functional expertise in at least two of the following: Finance & Accounting, Information Technology, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Commercial/Sales & Marketing
- • Required IMO/SMO/PMO experience
- • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to influence internal and external stakeholders
- • Superior problem-solving and analytical skills to translate disparate data into client-ready insights
- • Prior consulting firm or private industry experience preferred
