- • Lead client teams and execute complex M&A projects focused on operational diligence, merger integration, and carve-out initiatives, with emphasis on the CFO agenda and finance function.
- • Manage Day 1 readiness activities, including transition service agreement (TSA) development and operationalization to ensure seamless post-deal transitions.
- • Develop and oversee 100-day integration plans that align with client strategy and investment priorities, ensuring timely execution and measurable outcomes.
- • Identify, model, and track synergies across functional areas to maximize value creation for private equity clients during pre-deal and post-deal phases.
- • Serve as lead or support for Integration Management Office (IMO) or Separation Management Office (SMO) functions, coordinating cross-functional interdependencies across finance, IT, HR, supply chain, and commercial operations.
- • Facilitate due diligence meetings to assess operational and technology strategies, organizational structures, current-state business processes, and enabling technologies.
- • Develop and deliver executive-level reporting and presentations to clients and sponsors, translating complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- • Contribute to the development and enhancement of Accordion’s proprietary M&A methodologies for diligence, integration, and carve-out engagements.
- • Mentor and coach junior consultants, providing guidance on project execution, client communication, and professional development.
- • Travel to client sites as required to support on-site project execution, stakeholder alignment, and implementation activities.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across finance, technology, and operations to deliver end-to-end value creation solutions for private equity portfolio companies.
- • Support the creation of client proposals and thought leadership materials that position Accordion as a trusted advisor in private equity transactions.
- • Balance hands-on project execution with strategic oversight, managing multiple complex workstreams while maintaining focus on individual deliverables.
- • Operate with entrepreneurial spirit in a flat, high-growth organization, taking initiative to drive process improvements and client outcomes.
- • Communicate complex issues clearly and escalate risks or challenges to senior team members proactively.
- • Demonstrate leadership by example, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture across all levels of the team.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in operational/commercial diligence, merger integration, carve-outs, business transformation, or change management
- • Functional expertise in at least two of the following: Finance & Accounting, Information Technology, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Commercial/Sales & Marketing
- • IMO/SMO/PMO experience required
- • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to influence internal and external stakeholders
- • Superior problem-solving and analytical skills to translate disparate data into meaningful client insights
- • Prior experience serving in interim or permanent finance roles (e.g., VP Finance, Controller, CFO) is helpful but not required
