📋 Description
- • Evaluate student academic records to determine eligibility for degree completion, including transfer credits from traditional and non-traditional sources.
- • Apply institutional policies and procedures to assess course applicability toward degree requirements, ensuring accuracy in academic advisement reports and graduation pathways.
- • Review and interpret complex student records such as transcripts, test credits, course substitutions, waivers, repeated coursework, academic standing, catalog year requirements, and program-specific criteria.
- • Conduct degree audits and graduation reviews to verify fulfillment of institutional, program, general education, residency, credit, GPA, and graduation requirements.
- • Collaborate daily with other evaluation staff to reach consensus on transfer credit decisions, identifying patterns or systemic issues that may improve student service.
- • Communicate professionally via phone, email, and chat to respond to student and advisor inquiries regarding transfer credit, academic progress, and degree requirements, meeting established SLA deadlines.
- • Proactively manage a queue of evaluation tasks, prioritizing workflow to ensure timely processing while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
- • Work independently by assigning and completing tasks from a shared queue, while also collaborating with advising units to resolve complex student cases with diplomacy and integrity.
- • Synthesize incoming transfer credit scenarios by discipline, program, or requirement area to identify opportunities for policy improvement or operational efficiency.
- • Provide exceptional customer service to students and internal staff, anticipating needs and resolving questions with tact, professionalism, and adherence to institutional standards.
- • Utilize student information systems and degree audit tools to review academic records, track student progress, and support graduation clearance or degree conferral processes.
- • Maintain compliance with federal and state nondiscrimination laws and institutional policies regarding equal opportunity and accessibility in all student services.
- • Participate in quality assurance, process documentation, and workflow improvement initiatives within academic records and degree audit functions.
- • Support diversity, inclusion, and systems thinking in the evaluation of student records and the delivery of academic advising services.
- • Contribute to training and mentoring efforts for new staff in degree audit procedures, policy interpretation, and student communication protocols.
