- • As a Group Underwriter in the Workforce Benefits team at Pacific Life Insurance Company, you will evaluate and select risk to ensure profitable acquisition and retention of group benefits business, playing a key role in shaping the underwriting organization’s structure and operating model.
- • Day to day, you will consult with distribution partners to tailor product offerings, conduct risk assessments across case sizes, collaborate with product, actuarial, and sales teams, adhere to underwriting guidelines, and support training and mentoring initiatives while fostering digital-first practices.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree and 1-3+ years of experience in group benefits underwriting
- • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical reasoning skills
- • Experience underwriting core products such as group life, dental, vision, and supplemental health (critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident)
- • Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally
- • Comfortable learning and adopting new technologies
- • Demonstrated proficiency at the Underwriter level
