• • As a Technical Artist at Black Ember Games, you will serve as the critical bridge between art and engineering, translating creative vision into optimized, scalable pipelines and tools that empower the team to create efficiently within Unreal Engine 5.
• • Your day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining asset pipelines, writing Python scripts to automate workflows, debugging shaders for performance, collaborating with artists to optimize meshes and reduce draw call overhead, and contributing to tool development that reduces friction in the creative process.
• • Black Ember Games is a small, ambitious internal studio within Xsolla, operating with an indie mindset in Berlin and Novi Sad, focused on building an asymmetrical multiplayer FPS using Unreal Engine 5, where ownership is shared, ideas are valued, and innovation is encouraged over rigid hierarchy.
• • In this role, you will gain deep expertise in Unreal Engine 5 technical art pipelines, influence the technical foundation of a new game from the ground up, and develop leadership skills by shaping workflows that directly impact artistic productivity and game performance in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
