📋 Description

  • This is a paid 10-week summer internship with Coalfire Systems Inc., a leading cybersecurity firm dedicated to solving clients’ toughest security challenges through advisory, assessment, automation, and risk management services.
  • The intern will support the Division Hex – Pen Testing team, gaining hands-on experience in real-world cybersecurity projects while working remotely, hybrid, or in-office based on proximity to Coalfire’s U.S. or U.K. offices.
  • Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with penetration testing engagements, learning industry-standard security assessment methodologies, contributing to client deliverables under mentorship, and participating in skill-building activities aligned with offensive security practices.

🎯 Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
  • Foundational knowledge of networking concepts, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and basic scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Strong interest in offensive security, penetration testing, or ethical hacking, demonstrated through coursework, labs, certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, or HTB), or personal projects.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a professional environment and articulate technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to commit to a full-time 10-week internship schedule from late May through August 2026.
  • U.S. work authorization required; Coalfire does not sponsor visas for this internship position.
